Oh , you really know background story of “Aâi-Kài”. The word engraved on Chicken you bought is “มั่งมี” Mâng-Miī and Mâng-Miī, a good meaning word, means wealthy, prosperity. I think you would stay at Suratthani till Sat , Oct 3rd because important festival of Suratthani that will be held annually called “ชักพระ” Chák-Prá are taken place on that day. You might love to see parade, marching, gorgeous boat-shaped decoration car etc.

Tubtim siam pomelo (Thai Ruby Pomelo) is best of the best pomelo. This kind of pomelo could only grow in Pak Pranung district, Nakorn Sri thammarat province due to the fertilized land soil that could not find elsewhere. 100 baht is very cheap for this kind of special superb taste pomelo. If you got the good one, it must be very very sweet.

I think there may be a bit of a circular economy going... the temple probably returns the donated statues to the roadside shops once the magic blessing process has been completed... minus a small administrative fee of course. It supports the shops, it supports the temple, and... you might win the lottery!
