The Indiana Fever defeated the Atlanta Dream on May 9, by a score of 83-80. The Fever came back for an exciting victory. Caitlin Clark had 12 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block and 6 assists and she felt bad for having a rough game. A rough game by her standards, anyway. Smith showers her with praise on her boards and passing. Please like and Subscribe.

Caitlin in this press conf is insightful, looking forward to 7 games in 12 days, & veteran NaLyssa saying at 8:58, "We are gonna jell a lot more as we get more comfortable with each other." I don't follow WNBA but have looked at the box scores from her first 2 games and she is solid. First game shot 38% from 3 which is as good as average NBA players. Second game she handled the ball, passed well and as a 6' guard led the team in rebounds. Nothing wrong with those numbers either. It's not all about scoring.

The martinet Sides is stifling CC’s enthusiastic exuberance that brings in money and fills seats so I want the coach to release CC with expeditious dispatch. The myrmidons in the WNBA need to stand aside. It had years to elevate its prestige in the public mind but failed. CC even elevated the former superstars some of whom display a paucity of respect for her contributions, and whose names I am only now learning about just because CC brought me in. How long before a possibly stifled and disheartened CC demands a trade to a team that is willing to use those unique entertaining talents in addition to her scoring prowess that enriches the whole of the WNBA and its male investors as well as the NBA that subsidize it?

Must have been a different game that they are commenting on. The one tonight was filled with misses at the rim and Clark having to pull up in transition while her teammates tied their shoes and exchanged DMs. Nalyssa and Clark showed up but there was no evident offensive scheme. They were able to win because Atlanta used this scrimmage to test players on the bubble, shooting 20% or so and giving the game away. Neither team has heard of offensive rebounds. Boston needs to show up every play - not landing in cements inviting opponents to block her. Professional? Hmm...it's hard not to wonder how they spent the offseason - conditioning and fundamentals like finishing at the rim don't appear to have been on the menu.

@destinypirate
@destinypirate 29 күн бұрын
@@user-jk5ir6mu3i along with Smith they were trying but they're just not used to playing at that level, at most they're used to swinging a couple of passes and then pretending that they are Allen Iverson like you see on every other team. They really need a lot of long and disciplined practices and then to hold to that discipline during the games. You saw the Iowa teams remain disciplined through many many games where they were behind. They would remain steady with their higher percentage shots and just wait for the other team to crack when the pressure was applied. They also need to know that finishing at The rim means not finishing underneath the rim. Some coaching on spatial relations and angles to the basket would help a lot.

Caitlin looks traumatized, like she just got horrible news, fighting back tears at the end. What is up?

Thinking she is exhausted. She hasn't had a break since last fall when practices began at Iowa.

There's a lot of woman hating on Clark in the league; to the point that they are tarketing her. In the end it will actually help the WNBA. The tarketing is only gonna make the game more uptempo and exciting. Good for the league.

She needs to add weight and cardio to her training. Some of these athletes are big girls that play at a higher tempo even with the extra weight. She was clearly winded in the first half. College ball seems more regimental and mechanical compared to the more physical WNBA.

True. They'll have to work on her shot as they do. Bulking up can throw her shot way off.
