When a nurse crosses the line, it’s really important to tell them. If they continue to be inappropriate you should talk to their boss. Nurses who are not 100% understanding & uplifting should NOT be working with newborns & new Mommies! I was very happy that you labour went so much quicker than the previous 2. Congrats!! Congrats mama!! I’m so sorry you had a rough experience with that nurse. She shouldn’t have treated like that. I had one bad nurse in the beginning of my first labor and delivery and then with my second I also had a rude postpartum nurse. It makes you feel awful and you’re right, you are so vulnerable at that moment. I tried to tell myself that they are so miserable for them to have to treat someone like that. You are a champ!

I'm so sorry you had that bad experience in hospital, there is just no need for that sort of attitude from a nurse, totally unacceptable. What a beautiful name for your precious baby girl, you now have 3 beautiful children all with beautiful names. As for your body, give yourself some grace. You've not long had a baby, but I will honestly say you look absolutely beautiful. It's not the waist size, it's the love in your eyes that counts, so always remember you look perfect. Isyla is my first daughters name, i had a boy first and a daughter second and i love the fact that I’m also doing a surprise gender this time with baby #3. I am currently 18 weeks so I’m excited and nervous to find out the gender at birth! You made it look so easy and gave me inspiration so hopefully i can have a good state of mind and have a calm birth unlike both of my others. ❤

I had a terrible experience with a nurse and my baby was in the Nicu. She said some awful things and my mom was with me who witnessed it all. I am so sorry that happened to you too, I know exactly how it feels! I also wanted to say great job for advocating for your sweet girl and following your mom gut! Congratulations!

This was so interesting, I had our son in 1992, wow things are very different, I had a vaginal birth and had none of that stuff, I had post partum for 6 months, didn’t know what it was I had no help, thank God I survived. Congratulations again.

I had 4 babies. My labor was quite unreal. With my first child, i was in labor for 4 hours. My second and my biggest baby, i was in labor for1 hour. I also torn up the front way not the bottom way. And was never stitched or fixed. My 3 baby, i started labor but it stopped. They induced me and 2 hours later i had my baby and the 4th and last baby i went in to the hospital a few days before my due date because my labors were so fast. They tried to induce me but i didnt even dilate. The dr left for an errand, and the covering dr didnt like the idea that i was going over an hour away and would most likely have babby on highway, so she broke my water. 3 hours later, after being told i wasnt going to deliver, i held my last child. They weighed in order of birth, 8 pounds 5 ounces, 9 pounds 10 ounces, 8 pounds and 10 3/4 ounces and 8 pounds 3 ounces. The hosipal stays were great with my boys ( last 3 pregnancies) but with my first delivery with my only dayghter, she was choking on amniotic fluid the next day. A nurse who had a limp came in, picked my daughter up by her leg and slapped her back. I was so upset But i was young and was afraid to say anything. A week later i get a call from the young parents program i had attended, and she told me that someone filed a 51A on me, which is child abuse and neglect. I cried so much. I told my dad and he took the day off of work to deal with dss. The came in and whoever wrote up the report had big time lied. They said the babys dad was a fisherman, which is not true. My boyfriend was in the coast guard, and not the babys daddy. They also said i live with my grandfather, which was wrong because i lived with my dad. The wanted to hold her and i wouldnt let them. Then my dad told me to go ahead and let them hold her because they were not leaving with her. Come to find out, the nurse with the limp, who had grabbed my daughter by the foot/leg, and slapped her back, had told them i did all that. That she witnessed me doing that. I flipped big time. It was in 1984 that this happened. And you didnt get a private room back then. So i told the dss people that the nurse is the one who did this to my baby and the witness was my roommate. To this day i still remember the last name of my roommate. Turned out her daughter just delivered a. Baby and was still birn, and she thought my little girl could go to her. The nurse was fired after that. And i kept my daughter with us on earth until august 8th, 2022, when she was murdered by her boyfriend.. i miss her everyday.. i wish i could have another babby, but my baby days are over😭😭😭 Good luck with your baby girl.. treasure her as much as u can.. give her hugs and kisses from me as i had my one and only baby girl taken from me . She also left 4 children without any parents..

I had 5 non hospital births with no hearing test and you really can tell pretty early that they are hearing well. Have heard that they can "fail" the test because of a lot of vernix and other normal birth fluids

My son Matthew's name means "gift of God" We got married at 19 and tried right away for kids. After 2 years we went to the dr and was told I had no chance at getting pregnant. I knew how bad my husband wanted kids..I left and filed for divorce. We spoke some through the years and he remarried and divorced. I ran into my ex when I was 37 Just after I turned 38 I started to feel sick, looking at food made me sick..having to hold my breasts up, because of pain. My mom said "you are pregnant" no I am not. I was almost 39 and our son was born xxx Shiloh is a beautiful name.. the peaceful one.

Adorable baby!!! ! Dermaplast!!! They stilll use it!!! I can still smell it. I had my first baby 62 years ago, and they used dermaplast. Ha Ha. Don't you just hate bitchy nurses? They make or break your memories of your hospital stay, no matter why you are patient. Shiloah is a beautiful name. Not sure how you spell it, but it's beautiful.
