I notice not only she has her first toy, a big ball and she also starts to trunk up the sand onto herself like a normal elephant would do. She is definitely on her way to heal. So sorry to hear so many lonely elephants, rescued or not.

What an amazing improvement in just 30 days! We know that the aggressive mode is the one NamThip uses to cope with the miserable life she had, so now I look forward to seeing NamThip's real beautiful personality and getting to know her. Love that NamThip gets to see the residents walking by her enclosure every evening. She must be wondering why on earth do all these elephants look so relaxed and happy. Lovely to see her have the chance to enjoy a young elephants life. Kicking the ball about, chasing the ball around her pen, fly back kicks all show her playful side. To see her throwing the dirt about herself is another step in the right direction. The other Ellies are paying her attention too. It is so good that Namthip has been given this ball that she can play with. She seems to be really enjoying it. How interesting that she would take it with her when she was sleeping. I like that way all the elephants come to the fence to eat and join Namthip.

Thank you for a wonderful update on Namthip. I noticed in the last update that while she was swimming in the pool that she started to trumpet water over her head, and today, she's doing the same but with dirt not just over her head but under her legs as well. She is becoming the beautiful elephant that she should have been all these years. Watching her play with the ball was great and she will learn what it means to be a baby that she was denied all her life. Also allowing all the other elephants who stopped by to share her food was really another step in the right direction. Thank you Lek and all the staff at ENP for saving this precious girl and giving her everything she needs to be the free elephant that she now is. I've only come across your channel 2 days ago and the first video I saw was Namthips rescue so I joined the channel and have now seen her whole story so far... I look forward to the next update. In the meantime I'll start catching up on other videos to learn more about these gorgeous sentient beings.
