You named a list of legitimate needs. However, needs and markets are two different things. Markets address needs but needs do not necessarily translate into markets. The best business ideas would be small and cheap to implement. That way, failure is not a catastrophic event. Those types of opportunities give entrepreneurs multiple opportunities to iterate through ideas and focus on the ones that work. I am curious to know what incentives the Ghanaian government has set up to encourage entrepreneurship.
@NanaAshanti
@NanaAshanti 3 жыл бұрын
In the context of Ghana, I'd have to disagree. Its a developing country and so are its markets. Entrepreneurs here have to start entire industries on their own with the needs of people at the forefront. And to answer the question of government's involvement in businesses set up by citizens, ZERO. In businesses belonging to multinational companies and foreigners, subsidies, tax holidays, access to loans, etcetera. It is pathetic to see actually.

do you think there’s a demand for in home care for the elderly?
@NanaAshanti
@NanaAshanti 4 жыл бұрын
I'd have to say no. Older people typically stay home with family, even if they have medical conditions. They hardly retire or would serve as another parent for their grandkids. I do think having a geriatric care center may be more in demand. Something that focuses on their general wellbeing. I'd ask you to talk to a medical professional about this.

Nana Ashanti thanks for the reply. what other healthcare business ideas has demand in Ghana?
@NanaAshanti
@NanaAshanti 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Salmah, I'd say we need mobile healthcare. The kind that is on call and can do home visits. Hospital visits in Ghana are daunting and has long wait times. This will be very helpful.
