If you do the part of the tutorial about talking to suspects, it has you interrogate her teddy bear, Mr. Woogle Woggle. - I haven't looked into the voice actors but I think Heather is the same voice as the phone operator lady from Old Clock. - When you said you needed coffee, did you consider instead brewing a very specific blend of a thousand herbs? lol - Good to see the Zippy family is still around! Not sure how they expanded from a gas station to an international phone card, but whatever. - The article about Hugo Butterly notes that he named his pitbull Minette. What a savage. - Minette thinks opening the dodo box will unleash a bunch of evil, so one might call it... Pandodo's Box. :D - The park vendors have lots of old ND items for sale! A Fundae spoon from Captain's Cove, the jade key that opens the Mayan monolith, Spook #10's arm, and a gnome from Sally's shed by her Moon Lake cabin. - It's really hard to see, honestly, but the guy who asks you to paint for him has a hook for a left hand. That's why it's hard for him to do the painting himself. - If you try to buy the makeup book from the BON-JOOOOUR!!! lady, Nancy pokes fun at her own makeup skills. - Dieter's marble toy has the same little sound effect as the puzzle in Blue Moon Canyon when you had to poke the letters to spell cities. - Chat was trying to tell you about this, but you can skip the photo developing puzzle with an Easter egg! If you flush the toilet in there ten or so times, an Easter egg pops into your inventory and when you turn to the prints, they're all magically completed. When I replayed this game recently, I smudged my laptop's screen in the spots where the things were (since I also didn't have sticky notes handy) and that sooort of worked, but after I successfully did one print, I said "ah screw it" and let Dieter think Nancy had food poisoning instead. - JJ's story about her luggage showing up years after it got lost was a lie. If you tell her you don't believe her, she admits that she likes to make up stories like that for fun and to practice acting or something. That's why Dieter thinks she's a millionaire and Jean-Mi thinks she got tricked into working for Minette. - Someone in the chat said Prudence sounds like if Mrs. Doubtfire and Miss piggy had a baby and I 100% agree, haha. - In the notes about Prudence's various, uh, fashion items, it says that the cowboy boots were made at Shadow Ranch. Maybe Tex got into the shoe business? (The notes also say that they consider "primary" colors to be red, blue, and green if I remember correctly.) - The "Bejeweled but worse" game was made by Jane Penvellyn from Blackmoor Manor! That's why she, her old guinea pig, and Brady Armstrong are on there. Not sure why she included Ranger Akers, though. And that high score from "LettyD" is definitely Leticia Drake, who apparently prefers this game to Petroglyph Punch with Jane even though they're essentially the same thing. - By that Koko Kringle ad at the park's metro stop, there's also a silhouette of Nancy! They knew she was coming... - I'm pretty sure mint cookies don't actually curl like that. I've never made the recipe, but I did recently find JJ's recipe in my old recipe holder, written in very childish handwriting. :') - Senior mode of this game isn't really that different from junior mode, with the exception of the dodo box puzzle. That was way harder. - Those poor fish in Dieter's apartment got flung into darkness when you opened the passageway! I never thought about it before but they just get whooshed away behind the wall! - I tried so hard in chat to get you to read the Ichido book before you went into the catacombs because I knew the rats will sometimes steal your books. If they take the code book, you can actually go get it again; the book won't appear on the table but you can still click on it and rebuy it for full price. - It seems the Ichido book was borrowed by a B. Lee and a C. Norris previously. Hmmmmm.... - The Ichido book does mention that it isn't a very popular martial art because announcing what you're about to do is kind of a dumb move when you're fighting. - I've legitimately never seen anyone who actually decoded that practice message before. I looked it up on the Her Interactive forums during the stream and the general consensus was "ehh, it doesn't actually matter." Great job! :D - While you were messing with the mouth statue, chat was just full of "oooooooo" and "aaaaaaaaah" and I was cracking up. - The people who made this game were a small team making two not-very-profitable games per year so I can almost guarantee they did not visit France to research for this game. - The paint bomb on the door gives you 4 minutes and 15 seconds to solve it. For some reason, I timed that when I was a kid. - WAP WAP WAP, that's some wet-ass parfaits. - I love that Nancy goes from "yep, those sure are French words!" to casually reading Noisette's entire letter without issue. - The visuals for the fight at the end were bugged, I guess. It's supposed to show either red or green depending on if the block was successful and you don't need to click at all to block. You lose a bit of health(/energy?) even with a good block. - Minette definitely got that alien tattoo because of Sonny, lol. Maybe that's why she dumped Dieter? ;) - There's a new newspaper on JJ's table every day and the old ones go into the recycle bin. Since you can technically make the game infinitely long, the newspapers eventually stop because the writers go on strike. - If you tell Minette about Heather's note, you don't get to be part of the fashion show. - The music playing during the Kapu Cave preview is from Ghost Dogs! - Believe it or not, this game's ending isn't even the weirdest one in the series. Can't wait for you to get to that one, hehehe.

1:16:59 Deep-toned wind chimes are so wonderful 💜 and don't aggravate my migraines, as do the majority of wind chimes I've come across, which produce significantly higher tones from their small and/or thin pipes. My family home is *_surrounded_* by wind chimes of all sizes, types, and varieties because of how much my mom loves them and, therefore, has been receiving them from all of us for decades! We've had to spread them out a bit more around the property since I've been moved back home (due to and with many new and challenging health issues) and I've been very luckily blocked from most of them, now, except the very few, or possibly only the two, with the deepest wind tones and least clangy and abrasive interactive tones!!! 💚🤟💚 I absolutely LOVE hearing them whenever a storm is coming in! 💜🥰💜 The only better thing would be hearing them... While ACTUALLY being awake for your Nancy Drew and HOG streams!!! You're pure awesomeness, Gab!!! 💜🤟💚🥰💜 Oh! I also bought my mom an 'in-home" wind chime that is handily-sized and battery-powered, so she could still have her pleasant wind chimes, when/if she couldn't be outside, like during hurricanes and tornados, etc. 😂

Wow I feel like this was released in a "new era" of Nancy Games. Like there was the first batch, Devs heard feedback from fans, and then they released a new catch of games with improvements based on the feedback. There is the intro like Gabs pointed out but Nancy also does more: she talks more, she interacts with objects, different sounds for checklists, etc. The characters are more memorable and this references a lot from previous games. Sidenote: It would be cool if the book at the beginning references games the player has already played rather than every Nancy Drew game prior to this one but still a nice touch

Heh, basil and mint. Better profit that other ... Growables. Quite lucrative. We raised mint for sun-brewed tea. Funny thing was where we planted it and where it migrated to was interesting. It liked having shade during the morning but it moved underneath the water spout from the roof drains. After that it became quite healthy. But then again we live in more of an arid state. So I bet the extra water helped it out.

The photographer in me is screaming about the dark room because you do not need to light off to develop the photo paper, but I know it's just to make the game more difficult and it's funny to watch because anyone playing this would've been stuck in that room for a long time haha, I know I was.
