That little tank looks great, your tanks have always had crystal clear water and super healthy plants imo. I'm looking forward to the tank set up with the "Dave method" lol like a more sophisticated/updated take on the walstad method.

Hey, thanks! Yes, essentially an updated version. Even she started doing water changes every 4 months. It usually leads to healthier growth and health overall.

Great looking tank! I agree it doesn't have to be super supplemented if the flow rate, livestock, and number of floral organisms is harmonious. I rly like the filtration and waste removal design that the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) has invented. A center-slanted enclosure funneling the waste debris towards the filtration using gravity and sometimes also a mild vortex to centrifuge the waste out of the water column. This does of course change the design dynamic dramatically and you have to accomodate it but the upside is you never have to manually clean substrate off. Summarized the filtration intake is sticking up out of the substrate from a sharp 90° and the line back to the filter runs through the substrate and up the back wall so it can be relatively invisible.

Loving the progression and updates on this tank. Nice to see how someone that follows up rather than just dumping money into it day one then taking it down the following week 😂 So I went ahead and setup a planted nano, super basic but here it is kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aMendLuf19a6iqM.html
