As I listened to this heartfelt shrewd declaration, I heard a person 100 feet or so say something I thought was kind of disparaging as if in response to my listening to report while sitting in LAX and it was hurtful to hear; I won't repeat it. Even the Israelites of the old testament had their generational breaks for instance moving from the wilderness administration of Moses to the "possessing" administration of Joshua and Caleb. Perhaps this current conflict is that kind of inflection point in Jewish history. No "ism" is eternal; "isms" are a means whereby: so the Zionism of the late nineteenth century that blazed the path for diasporic Jews and such to return proved useful then, now perhaps an all encompassing Internationalism will bring about the peaceful co-existence within Isreal/Palestine's border, a sentiment I have seen expressed so many times over the past 20 years on the bumpers of cars passing by on streets and highways in the US and Canada. Whether or not the ism of the past is seen in a new light of being nevertheless it served it's purpose and it served well. Perhaps it is in fact a new day, it remains to be seen. If they truly understood they would realize that a seize fire is simply a path to ongoing war and death in the region.
