Ok. The drums are insane. The bass is sick. And Tati is from another world. But can we please praise Roman? His delicately woven guitar work in this song really shines and is the framework for this whole piece of insanity. He‘s so underrated. The chemistry between those four people is amazing.

44 now. Musician for 30, metal lover since 8. The talent, passion, chemistry, commitment of Jinjer leaves me without words. I've been a fan for a short time. Arms open my favorite. Exactly the same! Age 60, professional bassist and singer for 45, metal lover since 1974. Jinjer is love at first listen. Discovering them for me was like hearing Hendrix or Van Halen for the first time, like WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS MUST HAVE MORE!! This music is drenched with passion and inventiveness and adrenaline. I've seen Rush 36x, and after seeing these guys for the first time a couple weeks ago, I'm convinced they're Rush level musicians.

I can’t keep up with every metal band/release that’s of any consequence, I still feel safe saying that this band is basically operating on a completely different level, and they have been doing it for years now. Jinjer might not be the best metal band on the planet, but IMO, they are the most identifiable in every sense and they accomplish that without any gimmicks. Their music is complex at times, but the delivery is so direct, so pure, so individual. It gives me faith in the present and future of metal that this band exists.

@ericpeterson7512 Жыл бұрын
@@kathrynzahler6250o glad to hear you say that! Ok I'm a white dude, but to me one of the best (and least appreciated) things about Jinjer is the female empowerment! To be strong enough to express yourself in ways normally reserved for guys--and to kick the guys' ASSES at it--is righteous! And to still be feminine is the icing on the cake. I see Tati as one of the leading voices of feminism today, although she probably doesn't consider herself that way. Feminism is simply the belief that women are every bit the equal of men, and deserve to be treated with equal respect in all ways. Tati DEMANDS our respect, and she gets a ton of it from me.

That's what I say! This team is special. As a new fan, I was somewhat shocked to learn that Tati has no idea how she does what she does, had zero training, doesn't warm up before shows, talks to fans after shows, and smokes cigarettes! Zoiks Scoob! Take care of that million dollar voice! I know how hard it is to tour as a singer. Look at their tour schedule--they play like five nights a week! And it's cold outside. Man these Ukrainians are tough motherfuckers!

Tati said she's actually LOST HER SCREAM a few different times, and had to relearn how to do it! And it came back different each time! That's kinda scary! I want her to keep doing what she does for many albums to come. She's a superhero!

Another great example of what sets this band apart. My first listen was yesterday without the video and to be honest I felt a bit like I'd been ambushed. Just too much to register on the first listen. I just listened again for the 5th time and this song just gets better with every listen, and I believe will continue to do so for quite a few more listens. I pick up something new on every listen, and though I'm picking up most of the lyrics I have yet to really delve into them. Bah! Enough of my blathering on! Going to listen again!

@UncommercialGames
@UncommercialGames 3 жыл бұрын
For me it has been this way with Vortex too. Those songs grow, the more you listen to them. Edit: And furthermore, one has to really focus on listenting to those songs since they're so complex. Or else they just sound like harsh noise. It's kinda similar to stravinsky in that matter, even though that comparison is a bit stupid :D.
@eqgilethan
@eqgilethan 3 жыл бұрын
@@UncommercialGames that's not a 'stupid' comparison at all! There are parallels between classical and metal in general, but Stravinsky was known as a revolutionary within his genre. One thing he was known for was his innovation to the rhythmic structure of his compositions. So even though they're separate genres, I'd say he is a perfect comparison to Jinjer for the point you were making.

o_O Well, that's the way to contrast the 2 singles leading into an album release!! 1) Vortex beginning: a minute+ of smooth lull-you-into-a-false-sense-of-security groove 2) Mediator beginning: a blastbeat cast iron skillet swung thru yer face LOL *Love* it. \m/ (-_-) \m/
