One movie no matter how long is not enough to tell the story of Napoleon.

This will be one of the best movies of 2023! I promise you that.

Napoleon was such a complex character...some say he was a bloodthirsty tyrant, but you can't argue the fact the man had balls the size of Texas. He also had Charisma (Especially in his younger days)…It was said he could make the most grizzled veteran cry like a child for the slightest compliment. Joaquin is one of my favorite actors and I am hoping he can bring some of Napoleons charisma to the screen.

Napoleon was one greatest generals of all times. Nobody can say that's not true. He is an example of a natural leader!!!

Napoleon was not short actually

Insanely awesome TV spot for Napoleon. A made up character I write up has a similar line in my journal, it says "I follow in the footsteps of Napoleon, George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Obama, Donald Trump, and Abraham Lincoln." Myself, a Dragon rider hero who defeats Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, and Iraq, and then make my own country out of them called The United Provinces of Asia (UPA) with my fellow Dragon riders and followers who vowed to protect the dragons no matter the cost.

Allegedly the film cut for cinemas is only 2 hours 20 minutes, which is ridiculously short for a film "about Napoleon Bonaparte". I expect it to be very superficial, sort of "Napoleon for dummies".

I cannot believe this movie is in English. I thought it was in French.

After the war with Communism, I build the United Provinces Of Asia(UPA), and the Democratic Dragons Army, Dragons' Fleet (Navy), Dragon Force(Air Force), Dragons' Guard(National Guard), and the Dragon Warriors(Marines and Special Forces). I based my story and characters and factions on Httyd, Dinosaur King, Star wars, halo, godzilla, War Of The Worlds, Jurassic World, Iron Order, Tomorrow War, The Gate and more, and build a gigantic Dragonverse, which is a big universe with multiple timelines set by wars that were followed by another one by various ways of time travel/time alteration to try and fix what happened to stop each war, only starting another one several years later.

one of the reasons people thought he was short is because he made his soldiers have to be over 6 foot. especially his old guard.

The same brutal dictator , making terror and famine fall on its victims in the millions, and sporting the fanciest uniforms, 240 years earlier , spoke french..and thus deserves a pedestal still ?!?!

Another pseudo-historical biopic from Sir Ridley Scott. Joaquin Phoenix portraying the young Napoleon is simply nonsense, considering that Phoenix is now 49 years old, and Napoleon during the siege of Toulon and the dispersal of the royalist rebellion in Paris shown in the film was 24-26 years old... Was it really impossible to take a younger actor for images of young Bonaparte? There are also a lot of questions about costumes, uniforms and other elements of material culture of the early 19th century. Russian and Austrian troops are shown as one gray faceless mass, and for some reason the Russians and Austrians attack at Austerlitz not as separate regiments and battalions, but as a common heap, mixed together. The standard bearer of the Russian Guards Cavalry Regiment, shown in the first video, for some reason, instead of a squadron standard, is holding in his hands a slightly adjusted State Banner of the Russian Empire of the 1856 model!!! And these are just the moments that immediately caught my eye when watching the video! How many errors and inaccuracies will there be in the film itself? It is clear that most viewers do not care about such blatant mistakes, but this film is presented as a grandiose historical canvas. In short, Ridley Scott, as usual, made another very expensive and completely unhistorical “bullshit”.

Appalling don't bother ..Basically used Gladiator as the template for the battles but not as good and the usual RS nonsense lazy filmmaking similar to the Accuracy of Braveheart at least try to have some Historical context.

Considering that Scott is ashamed of Europe and its civilization, I'm sure that with this film he will try to denigrate "N". The horrible coronation scene already shows it...
