Narcotic Wasteland - Anthem for the Mentally Scarred Playthrough

Here is a guitar/vocal play-through performed by Dallas. The song is called Anthem for the Mentally Scarred, and is the first track on our debut album which released in 2014. I added an additional guitar track to the right channel because almost always there is at least one part in a song that requires two guitars. This is a GREAT way to practice. It's not perfect, but it is a great way to lock down and get better at what I do. Picture quality is not great, but that's not the point. Hope you enjoy it! Man I've always loved Dallas style of writing and playing/singing. Nile was a huge influence on me in my early days. Everything Dallas does is sick as fuck. 0:51- 0:59 Perfect example lol

at a Nile show in the now defunct Station 4 in St. Paul, MN - Nile had just played a couple of songs, Station 4 was known for having a floor area and a bar area with 4 "windows" that separated the venue. Shortly after finishing a song right after the cheers and clapping stopped, there was silence - it was odd for sure, but Dallas was fiddling with his tuner or trying to fix something with his rig. I looked left and saw a dude still twitching from the last song directly in one of the bar "windows" - he was almost framed in the window - soon after I sensed him, he impatiently shouted, "come on, nile, let's keep it going, let's go let's go" Because of the silence of the tuning or adjusting, the whole venue heard him - Dallas stopped what he was doing, looked at the dude and selectively told him over the microphone " you're gonna wait and you're gonna like it bitch" - The entire venue laughed -

I fucking love this guy, he's an amazing musician and a great vocalist with perfect stage presence, it's just amazing to watch. Pure fucking death metal the way it should be done. I was fortunate to see him live with Nile in 2008 and this was one of the best gigs I've seen. The fact that he can just start another band that's equally as good as what he's done with Nile is amazing.
