@aliross2720
@aliross2720 10 ай бұрын
@@jameshogan6142I think what makes Narinder so blind to her own hypocrisy and double standards is her pathological narcissism. I think on some level She really thinks she see's racism all around her because she projects her feelings onto her environment and can't see past it because of her cognitive distortions and because shes psychologically dysfunctional and rigid .Im sure she has experienced some racism in her life but not nearly as much as she believes. A cognitive distortion that many narcissists have enormous trouble with is emotional reasoning. Narcissistic personalities believe, perceive that feelings are facts. This is the way narcissists seem to perceive many of their experiences. Cognitive distortion are sometimes known as negative thinking patterns. They are thinking errors that result in an incorrect or exaggerated interpretation of events or experiences. With emotional reasoning in narcissistic personalities the situation is often interpreted completely through the emotions which can cause it to be interpreted incorrectly. The narcissist's feelings are considered to be evidence or proof of the reality of things and are therefore relied upon more than the actual facts of the situation and carry more weight in their interpretation of heir experience. It is a very serious dysfunction in perception and usually ends up coloring most of how they see things. Feelings are not facts. They can be-and often are-illogical and unreasonable. That's why it's not a good idea to make big decisions when we are really emotional because we may not be thinking clearly or be able to appreciate the big picture of something until we calm down. The majority of us know this and are able to control our emotions and ourselves. We are able to separate reason and emotion and prevent feelings from clouding our reason, perception, and judgment. Most of us, meaning those of us who are not narcissists, fit our feelings to the facts. That means we react appropriately and reasonably to what has actually happened. The event influences our feelings. We are able to view the event clearly and understand it on its own merits. We then process the facts of the event and decide how we feel. Narcissists don't do that. They essentially do the opposite of that. They fit the facts to their feelings. This means they interpret events in a way that agrees with how they already feel. The narcissist's already-existing emotions influence their processing of the event rather than the other way around. This usually results in very skewed perception. Emotional meaning is attached to things that have none. Malice and bad intentions are read into things that are innocent. It's usually all negative. This happens because the narcissist's feelings are clouding their judgment and the narcissist already feels bad. Their perceptions are colored by feelings they've had for years, feelings that are actually often completely unrelated to the person or event they are perceiving. theirfeelings is the only perception they truly rely on. What they feel overrides what they can see and hear. most people, if what their eyes and their ears are telling them does not match up with what their feelings are telling them, they will adjust their feelings to be more appropriate. The narcissist does not do that. When what they see and hear-when reality, in other words, does not match up with what their feelings are telling them-they adjust reality to match their feelings. Or they dismiss it completely. The narcissist's mindset is, "I feel it, therefore it's true." r I feel like you don't like me therefore you really don't like me, I feel like you're intentionally trying to anger or embarrass me therefore you really are trying to intentionally anger or embarrass me. For narcissistic people this goes even further into a circular logic that is impossible to penetrate. It isn't just that i have concluded you were trying to anger me on purpose, the fact that i feel angry in the first place is undeniable proof that this was in fact your goal and there is no other possible interpretation of the situation. The fact that i got angry about what you said or did is proof that you did or said it specifically for that reason, I wouldn't feel like that if it wasn't true. My feelings are not just the facts, they are also the evidence that proves the facts. This is not about gut feelings or following your intuition by the way. This is about believing something to be true just because they think it is with no other evidence or supporting factors at all. It feels like someone doesn't like them so that means that person definitely does not like them even if the reality of the person's behavior doesn't actually support that conclusion at all. Anything that doesn't reinforce this perception is discarded, dismissed or denied. This ends up with the narcissist living in an almost-constant state of denial, trying to protect all of these erroneous perceptions and defend all of their invalid assertions. The stronger the proof to the contrary is, the harder they will dig their heels in. This in turn simply embeds the misperception into their head more Instead of examining their feelings to see if they make sense or explore where they're coming from narcissistic people take them as facts that are reflecting how things really are. They're actually reading through their own emotional lens and these emotions are distorting the input. You'll often see that when they try to read others or interpret other people of supposedly hiding something, it's always something about them in some way and it's always something negative. That's not a coincidence. This unfalsifiable and egocentric auto reinforcement of their own skewed interpretation of the events creates a negative emotional reaction in the narcissist that is often way out of proportion to what's going on and it's all based on what they are telling themselves about what's happening. This leads to or occurs in tandem with more emotional reasoning and more cognitive distortion such as over generalization and mind reading until the situation has become totally out of control and even delusional. This is when we often see the abusive behaviors narcissistic personalities are known for such as exploding or the silent treatment because now they believe the other person deserves it. Many times the things narcissistic people are upset about are overblown, misinterpreted just not true or didn't happen and the only so-called evidence narcissists actually have of any of it in these situations boils down to their own feelings. Feelings are important considerations in any situation but they're not necessarily evidence of anything and they do not necessarily reflect the reality of things at all. Narcissists view their feelings, particularly their negative feelings, as reflective of reality, even though many times they're not. Especially for narcissists who tend to have a chronically negative and egocentric view of things anyway. These negative feelings are the result of their inner landscape, their negative thoughts and their perception problems. So feeling bad after a compliment becomes proof that the complimentary person was trying to shame or upset them. They experience their feelings as coming from external sources and this is usually other people. The most unfortunate thing about this kind of reasoning is that it's so off the beam but you can't argue with it. How do you argue with someone's feelings? you're not trying to but many times that's exactly how it's interpreted. The narcissist angrily insisting you are trying to tell them how to feel. You're not of course. Their feelings might even make sense if what they believe happened actually did happen, but it didn't so all you can do is keep trying to tell them that they've got it all wrong. You are arguing facts and they think they are too but they're not . They're arguing feeling. They are arguing their emotional interpretation of the event as a fact. The conversation is about the fact that you intended to upset them on purpose or anger them on purpose or whatever rather than entertaining any other possible interpretation of the situation. As any other non-pathological person keep trying to explain to them what your actual intentions were doesn't work. They're having a thinking error therefore their conclusions make perfect sense to them. Not only does the conclusion make sense, their feelings are considered evidence for this conclusion. This means they have irrefutable proof that what they're saying is true along with whatever else has happened that they now view through this same distorted lens.

"You see? I am a victim because everyone is mean to me." Narcissistic supply is. It is attention and energy from other people - either positive or negative - that supplies the narcissist with validation of their worth. They can never receive enough of it. The moment they stop receiving it, they are empty again. This is why they provoke arguments, why they make up stories, why they twist people's emotions. People's reactions to all of these things say to the narcissist, "You matter." The behavior and needs of narcissists usually coincide with how they receive and process this narcissistic supply. This is the supply of admiration, sympathy, attention, sex, power or whatever it is they need to validate themselves as worthy human beings. A narcissist who needs to be feared may be a bully. A narcissist who needs to be desired may be promiscuous, either physically or emotionally. A narcissist who needs to be pitied may behave like a victim. A narcissist who needs to be needed may behave like a hero. It all depends on what they have learned means "power" in their lives and how they have learned to get their needs met. For a narcissist, "getting their needs met" usually translates into "feeling better." This is why it doesn't matter if the thing making them feel better is actually detrimental to them or anyone else in the long run. If it makes them feel better now, that's all that matters. Narcissistic people cannot create, regulate or sustain their own self-worth. Without a constant supply of validation and attention from others, the narcissist's self-worth cannot be regulated and will drain away. Think of a pitcher with a hole in the bottom. When any human being loses all of their self-worth in this way, a suicidal crash at the bottom is essentially inevitable, and the true narcissist is much closer to the bottom already than a person who has healthy coping mechanisms and who can build their own self-worth. Where it might take a healthy person months or even years to reach that dark and terrible point, a narcissist can often reach it in a matter of hours. In order to function at all within this horrific handicap, narcissists need a steady supply of the necessary feedback from others that they then convert into momentary self-worth. Because they can create no self-worth of their own and cannot sustain whatever they receive from others, it does not last long and they are soon teetering on the brink of collapse again. the "positive feedback" or supply the narcissist is seeking from others doesn't always mean things that feel good to the other person. It means things which feel good to the narcissist, and these may not be the same thing. It can be things like admiration and approval, but it can also be things like pity, fear, anger or anything else. In the same way, the "good" image they are presenting of themselves doesn't necessarily mean what we think of as a "good person," though it often is. It just means something that will create the reaction they are looking for from others and that is usually the opposite of what they believe themselves to be. For example, if they feel they are a weak person, they may create an image of themselves that is intended to inspire fear or awe in others so that they can be validated as strong through other people's reactions to them. If they feel they are a monster, they may create an image of themselves that is intended to inspire pity or sympathy in others so they can be validated as a victim through others' reactions. But it can also be less specific; anything which validates their existence in any way can be enough. As an example of this, we might think of the narcissists who get supply through arguing, or of internet trolls, who are only looking for any attention of any kind. The life of the pathologically narcissistic person is a performance of one for one by one, and other people are the props narcissists use to make the fiction more believable to themselves. If others believe it, that makes it more real. And when it's more real, they can believe it and convert it into self-worth - at least for a time. Without other people to create feelings of worth inside the narcissist, they will not have any. This is why negative types of attention often work just as well as positive types. If someone is yelling at you, you exist. If someone hates you, you are important. If someone argues with you, you matter. Even though they are not positive, these things still help validate the narcissist's worth - usually by simply acknowledging their existence. Narcissists exist in a world of self-hatred, pathological shame and deep-rooted insecurity. They have very unstable or even nonexistant identities. They look to other people to validate them and their worth because they are unable to validate these things themselves. Left to their own devices, they feel worthless, useless and unloved. Narcissists generally have a sadistic superego that abuses them nonstop. They have no internal way of fighting off this onslaught. The only weapon they have against it is the reaffirming of their self-worth from other people. They attempt to secure this by creating a false-self that is the opposite of what they believe themselves to be. They don't believe anyone will love or even like them if people can see what they really are. So they create a persona that is the opposite. If they believe they are stupid, the false self will come across as smart. If they believe they are weak, the false self will seem strong. If they believe they are a victim, the false self may be a predator. Or it may be someone that helps others. Whatever is the opposite of the horrible thing they believe themselves to be is the face they will show the world. When people buy into the false self, they are validating the narcissist's worth as a person. This creates momentary self-worth. If other people believe the narcissist is a good person, it helps them to believe it. They can then lean on that when their internal abuse becomes overwhelming. Of course, they never truly believe that they are good people; their self-hatred and shame is too entrenched for that. They resent the fact that they have to rely on others and they resent the fact that they have to pretend in order to get others to like them. This is experienced as something being wrong with themselves, but is denied and projected as something being wrong with the other people. "There's nothing wrong with me. Something's wrong with them. They dislike me for no reason!" This, even though the other people may have done nothing to actually show that they dislike the narcissistic person. It's all in their head, partly paranoia that the lie they are living will be seen through and partly projection of their own self-hatred.

@@boshankers12 The narcissist's fictional structure is very fragile, yet their entire well-being is dependent upon it. The slightest deviation from the script disrupts this fiction and tears holes in it. Pathologically narcissistic people become very distressed when people don't perform according to the script. If you've ever seen a child playing with Barbie dolls or something like that, you'll understand sort of how it works. The child moves the doll, speaks for the doll, creates the doll's personality... the doll is an extension of the child and the child's fantasies. This is similar to how narcissists view other people. When the doll does not fit correctly into the role or function the child has in mind, the child discards that doll for another. The child may become frustrated when the doll does not perform as they wish, the same way narcissistic people do when others do not do what the narcissist wants them to do. This creates a feeling inside the narcissist that they are not in control and worse, that their fiction has been seen through. To their way of thinking, when someone is "good," they deserve everything they want and they will get it. If they are not getting everything they want, they must be bad. If people think they are bad, they must be able to see the defective self the narcissist is trying desperately to deny and hide. Narcissists cannot tolerate imperfection - in others or themselves. That's the point of the false self: to be perfect. Only when you are perfect will you get the needed validation from other people. This is what the narcissist believes. Of course, they cannot meet this standard because it's unreasonable. Nobody is perfect. The people they surround themselves with are held to the same standards. Be perfect or be punished. It's important to remember that "perfect" here doesn't have to mean perfect in general, but it always means perfect for the narcissist. The people around them can have no flaws, make no mistakes, have no needs and above all, they can never behave in a way that makes the narcissist fear even for one second that their defective self will be exposed. And anything that deviates from the script will trigger this fear. Narcissists idealize others until this happens. Other people are mirrors that narcissists see themselves reflected back in, and as long as the person has given them no reason to believe the fiction has been exposed, the reflection will be good. Once this happens, the reflection becomes negative. The narcissist believes they will be abandoned and their life-sustaining supply will be cut off. They feel betrayed that their perfect mate has betrayed them and tricked them. So they begin to look for other ways to find that supply, either through other people or by changing the dynamic of the relationship. Instead of drawing sustenance through the reflection from this amazing perfect person that loves them - which made them feel perfect and good, they draw it from punishing and shaming this person who lied and betrayed them - which makes them feel strong, superior and vindicated. Or perhaps they simply leave the relationship altogether when they find another person who will again be their perfect reflection. For now.

Narinder is being ridiculous comparing that Dylan person to model Kate Moss, just because Kate Moss is very thin doesn't make her any less of a woman. Also, whilst Narinder is entitled to her opinions like the rest of us, the problem us she shouts other people down, and has a forceful personality, I've seen her on other GB news threads. She called Jeremy Clarkson sexist, misogynistic and dangerous to women just for joking about Meghan Markle, yet he apologised for it. Yet, at the same time would happily have a man go into a woman's toilet or changing room, just because a man identifies as a woman. And thinks we should welcome Shamima Begum back home with open arms. As far Narinder being called the 'P' word, in her case that stands for 'Pain.' That's what she is a pain in the ear.

Of course, it's racist to call people coconuts. It means brown on the outside and white on the inside. It's racist to black/brown people because it assumes they all have to think one way, and if they don't, then they are somehow deficient as black/brown people. It's also racist to white people as it puts a negative connotation on being white, or having certain values that she feels are negative and associates with skin colour rather than character. This makes Kaur appear to be a thick racist. However it might not be entirely her fault, she waffles on at such a pace in an attempt to bulldoze those she's talking to, It's probably preventing her from properly oxygenating her brain.
