Hey thanks for the spotlight on my Nevermore Guard Dan! Fun Poe easter egg, the fighter with the lantern is named Lenoir Perdue...which translates to Lost Lenoir in French 😄. Anyway, sorry I didn't get to talk to you much this year. Next year I'm setting a day aside specifically to just play a few pick up games so hopefully can get a game with you then. Keep up the great Warcry content 👏

Love seeing all the paint work.. Awesome to get a glimpse into the art of Warcry when the community shows up.. Why doesn't GW send a photographer to these big events? An article on all this community work would be great to see and for general promotion

Great overview and I definitely agree with all your thoughts on narrative events and even aspects of campaign play! I appreciate all the feedback you provided here and really look forward to hearing how your event goes this month! I am unfortunately unable to make it, but am really curious about the format and hoping to learn from your success! Glad you could join us and definitely agree that there were many wonderfully painted and themed warbands!

I've heard you guys have done some house-ruling to make the campaign mode work a little bit better?

@@thesaltyseagames Correct! We tweak a few things after a league, for example a couple of the over-powered artifacts and also encampments. Current encampment rules make it way too easy to lose one right after you get one, especially the quest-related ones. We are still trying out some novel formats, particularly when some of our locals run a league for us and add their own twists.

It was great to see you again Dan and I'm sure Bledsoe will be along to leave his own comment,but based on what I heard, the game you two had was a nail biter 😁 Both of the Narrative WarCry Events were spectacular this year and the Dogs of WarCry deserve heaps of praise. Also, HUGE shout-out to all the players that make these events so much fun. Got to see a bunch of great friends again and meet plenty of new players. Have my dance card for next year's Narrative Event already booked for 2 players wanting a game. Truly Humbled. With any luck you can get into the SUPER NARRATIVE WarCry event as it was something to behold. Though topping a 18" move with a Flying Yhetee onto another table, may be hard to beat for insanity in one game of WarCry 😆

@@thesaltyseagames Oh Yes 😁 The Yhetee found a Glider in a treasure chest. Then a few of us spent our influence tokens to convince the GM that this Yhetee should be able to climb to that 3rd level of a ruin and then glide from our board to the other board. We explained it as Tzeentch taking interest and allowing this to happen and thus SUPER NARRATIVE storytelling took over. At that point 4 members of the Corvus Cabal began to ask others if they had ever seen a Yhetee fly??? 🤪

I think reframing narrative "tournaments" as "events" helps to set expectations more clearly. Sure, someone will win the most, but that's not the point.

yes! if it's supposed to be casual and fun, just let it be an event! putting the people who want to have a good chill time and the people who want to have a fierce competition only one of them will win in the same space is bad for *both* sides!
