Narrow Gauge at Carson City, May 2006 - Nevada State Railroad Museum

7 жыл бұрынRoad-transportable narrow gauge Porter steam locomotives and gas-powered rail vehicles convened at the Nevada State Railroad Museum in May 2006 for a lot of action. These three-foot gauge Porter saddle tanks are reminiscent of the On30 model Porters made by Bachmann. This vintage video was made with a Canon GL-2 Mini-DV tape camera in standard definition. How quickly the state of the art advanced in high definition tapeless cameras, yet the GL-2 did a good job back then.

If only the NSRM still did this, I'm sure they'd attract plenty of railfans! The bell on the green engine sounds a lot like the CK Holliday at Disneyland, an engine that Walt Disney himself and his imagineers built. Sounds very beautiful. And of course there's the eureka and palisades engine which is nice to see at Carson city. If only Dan Markoff would bring it there more often nowadays. She's sitting cold and waiting for action as she has for the pst few years!

They had just did with the great western steam up with lots of old steam locomotives! It was fun, SP 18, Glenbrook, Chiggen, & more!
