All I can say is... even after watching the anime, the manga is still worth reading, if you're interested to try it out too 😊 (Personally, I mostly read one piece then binge watch the anime every few months). What you can expect from the manga that are not in the anime: ☠A lot of scenes are more bloody and uncensored. ☠There are additional stories--cover stories--that you can also check out of you wanna follow the adventures of other characters in the background. ☠There are SBS corners; a kind of q&a--letters from fans that Oda answers. 😊😊😊 ☠I saw some of the actual physical manga has arts and crafts included, like Oda teaching you how to draw your own jolly roger among other things.

The SBS corner is what motivate me the most to read the manga. The clash of fans crazyness asking silly questions and Oda sensei's crazyness of answering those questions is PERFECTION😂

I feel you on the spoilers, I had a couple key moments spoiled for me and it by no means ruined the story for me. The only thing in this vid I kinda wish you didn't get spoiled on was the Luffy vs Usopp fight because it's one of those things that TRULY surprisied me as a viewer. But even then I know the moment will hit hard regardless. I remember I watched the entire Luffy vs Lucci fight before I even started the series and thought it was aight, but then when I actually got there and watched it, it became one of my top fights in all of anime. Welcome aboard man, it's gonna be a fun journey.

I want to apologize for the third comment. It's just that each of them was filled with different information unrelated to each other. I agree with what the video says. The way Oda was able to warm up and rock his story, which is getting better and more interesting with each volume, with each arch, is a real talent. I have seen many times that long anime slows down over time and often ceases to be interesting, but in one piece the opposite is true - the further the story develops, the better it becomes. If the video said that the arch that was the best 6 years ago, then at the moment the next arch turned out to be even more interesting and striking. And the way the author himself makes various allusions to the characters, to the story.. it forces us to read into every phrase, to look into all the little things. ... What if we already know this, but just don't know what we know? And this is 1000% true, we just don't know about it yet hahahahahaha That is why any little thing, any name can have a much deeper meaning than it seems at first or second glance. Don't worry about the spoilers you've found out. There are more than enough other interesting points in the plot that you will be interested to know. You should def read the manga. There are differences between the two mediums and personally I think the manga is executed much better than a lot of the anime. the current arc being animated is really good though, probably the best the anime has been since water 7 arc imo

I think you’re right about spoilers man. You can see the thing happen before it’s time in story. But I don’t think it’s gonna take away from the emotion when you get that moment with all of its context. You’re getting a chance to see what’s waiting for you. And One Piece is all about a promise that there’s something out there…waiting for you.

Some wonder if he was even willing to pay the price for the others and let the villagers kill him, I'm not sure. I don't think he knew just how hated the Celestial Dragons are by the rest of the world. I don't any of them really know, if anyone publicly insults them they can be executed or at least imprisoned for it. I think most of them think that people kneel to them out of respect or reverence and don't realise it's only out of fear. They think they're gods. In Doflamingo's father's case I think it was more naivety rather than arrogance. And to be honest, from what we've seen of the other Celestial Dragons, I wouldn't say that any of them would have put the lives of their wives and children ahead of their own.

One piece is the best series of all time that I have ever found. I also started with Naruto and still love that series. I don't want to ever compare or even talk about which is "better". But I am excited for people to read one piece because of what they will get out of it.

I feel like at this point, you should just watch the anime. These days you cannot avoid spoilers to a degree, but watching these videos is spoiling some things that might be better to just experience. I feel like you are dedicated enough to follow through on watching the anime all the way. I just don't know if the sacrifice of getting spoiled is worth watching another introduction video. The one thing that annoys me about the original video is the dudes gripe about how Oda draws "some" of the women. First of all, stop with that fake ass male feminist bs Oda can draw women however he wants, its his creation. Second, why didn't the guy put up all the characters like half of Big Moms daughters, Kokoro, Otsuru, Otohime and many other women in the series that he doesn't draw overly sexualized? There are also tons of background women that aren't drawn like that so I really don't get why people complain about this. None of these social justice warriors complained when Oda started making all of the men in the crew into buff DBZ characters (even Usopp ffs)

Fun fact: Oda has actually said he really wants to draw a character with an eyepatch but he is saving it for more towards the end. We have yet to see an eyepatch wearer, so that will be exciting when it happens :)

A long build up before revealing things several dozens or even hundreds of episodes later is one of Oda's strong points in his writing style and the way he wants to tell his story. So yes, bluntly telling outright about an island's existence like in this video, let alone about its ruler and the poor inhabitants, is a huge spoiler and is against the flow of how Oda wants you to discover his story. You aren't supposed to know ANY of this and has to discover it along with the main crew as you go on. Just because you didn't grasp all of the info he said doesn't mean it hasn't settled down somewhere in the back of your head, so it's not gonna be a as much of a reveal as it was planned to be by Oda. Watching these videos while already watching One Piece is like shoving sticks in your bicycle wheels when you're already doing the Tour de France.
