Seeing Naruto Clash of Ninja still being played competitively to this day makes the Naruto fan in me shed some tears. And the fact that GNT4 got modded surprises me. I knew about the fan translation, but nothing about Super Clash of Ninja 4 until now.

Clash of Ninja Rev. 2 was the one i played HEAVILY. i knew the fanbase was still big because of the mods and combo videos being uploaded to this day, it makes me happy knowing it's all still going strong!

Sadly there's no room for fighting games that lack tech inputs, even fantastic games like GBVS get shit on for having easy input + tech inputs.

Man, this brings back memories. I remember special ordering this game with a Freeloader disc so it work with my NA Gamecube. I still have my copy of it, though my Gamecube is buried somewhere in the archives (my attic).

I'm pretty sure this is Naruto Super Clash Of Ninja 4, not the vanilla game. It's a mod that did a lot of changes for the game's balance, mechanics and characters moveset.

It's definitely not the vanilla game as you can break backturned grabs. Plus, the text is in English. And Zabuza has a weird reversal command grab.

Yes. Also FYI, backturned throws are breakable in the vanilla game too, they are just unbreakable in Rev3 and GNT SP.

Oh right. I think I misremembered. Backturn grabs were not meant to be breakable, but were breakable in GNT4 due to a glitch. It is the only game in the series where they are breakable.

They are breakable in all of the Gamecube GNT games and the GNT EX games.

Its Tekken you're looking for. Most 2.5D fighting games play like Tekken. Only issue is this game has manual turn arounds. Really fun game but it has a steep learning curve.
