Both nearing their limit, Sasuke trying to prove he didn't need anyone, but still trying to figure out if he actually wanted to finish Naruto. And Naruto, the hero of the world, the person who unified everyone. The person who only had one more person to save. Naruto proving to himself that he deserved to be Hokage. This fight was the end of each struggle. Naruto always said he was going to beat Sasuke, but he finally had to prove to himself he was fit for everything. Sasuke remembering Itachis sacrifice and making sure he would never let it happen again.
