LightBlurzz. Stuck essentially, letting off the gas didn’t stop the car from accelerating. Very dangerous and scary, and a rare failure.

I was a welder on a safer wall crew for Knoxville and Nashville superspeedways. I was infield for the first Indy and arca remax race ever at nashville. Cars gone wild. I watched Tony Kanaan kiss the number one safer wall at 170 from tie rod failure. Made me proud to have prepped that barrier. Should be mandated at all tracks.

Richard Monaghan, he was tapped one on track, then a second to shoot into that spin before everyone hits the wall then as the come out he gets clipped again in the same spot. still very impressive driving to recover like that

0:33 Uh... that's not a tank-slapper. A tank-slapper is when the front wheel of a motorcycle starts to oscillate back and forth so hard your hands and handlebars are hitting the gas tank.

The only reasons Dale died were because he wasn't wearing a head and neck restraint, and his seat belt broke. His hit wasn't as bad as other NASCAR wrecks. The last crash in this video was hard but nowhere near scary. Crashes 1,2,3,4,6,7,9,11,13 and 14 were all scarier, with 14 being the worst.
