NASCAR Heat 3 is a racing video game simulating the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series and feeder competitions. It was developed by Monster Games and published by 704Games. It is the sequel to NASCAR Heat 2, and was released in North America and Europe on September 7, 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows via Steam. Hendrick Motorsports drivers Jimmie Johnson (his first cover since NASCAR 06: Total Team Control), Chase Elliott, Alex Bowman and William Byron are featured on the cover. Along with the game announcement, a new Xtreme Dirt series was also announced as part of an enhanced career mode.
Career
Like NASCAR Heat 2, the career option for the game includes the option to play in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Additions for the third installment include a new Xtreme Dirt Tour and the option to manage your own team in NASCAR national series competition. The Xtreme Dirt Tour emulates the feel of local dirt track racing, with a variety of new tracks. Notable new tracks include a dirt version of Bristol Motor Speedway and tracks re-done from NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona.The Charlotte Motor Speedway road course is also available to play at in the Bank of America Roval 400 event.

I'm enjoying this game. It's a small dev team with limited resources so I am pleased with what they have done with racing game play. Don't mind the lack of presentation since it is such a small team.

They need to add things like historic cars and tracks, like from the 90's and 60's. Also have a fully realistic simulation mode, I like arcade style but I like to have the choice too. Not a bad game but there's definitely room for improvement if it wants to reach Gran Turismo and Forza levels of quality. A final note would be that I never really feel like my car is driving like the others, especially when I'm in a "train" and I'll go twice as fast as the other cars so I feel like I have an unfair advantage (even in hard difficulty). This might just be one of those things that's hard to balance but it does take me out of the race as I don't feel I'm racing in a stock car anymore.

NASCAR Thunder 2004 is still the best NASCAR game by far IMO. The career mode, multiplayer, physics, AI, car paint customization with all the sponsors, even the soundtrack and like this guy said, presentation was all second to none. As stupid as it sounds but having the pace car bring the field out, the yellow flag replays, the announcer talking about allies, rivals, and the lineup, that's the small stuff that really gets you into a game like this.

Nascar 96 for the original Playstation was and still is my favorite Nascar game . If you wrecked the field they " wrecked " and took damage . I would drive a lap backwards just to watch the carnage unfold . Jeff Gordon , Dale Earnhardt and Rusty Wallace were usually in the front of the field !!!

Hello, I think that if the games of the last decade based on the Nascar series are all very good, but the only thing missing is that they fix or add to the games the realistic damage, because in Nascar Heat 3 you hit the wall At Full Speed And The Car Barely Ends With The Hood Boned, However In Real Life That Blow Ends Up Destroying The Whole Car Leaving It Out Of The Race, If The Games Begin To Add The Real Damage With The Destruction As In Real Life It Would Be Expectacular and More Realistic.

I bought the game and already disappointed. I miss when EA had the license it was way better. They had rivals, better gameplay, and even included the little things like track maps, leaderboard during the races

I tried the ground circuits to see if I found a bit of emotion but nothing just graphic evolution, but the physics is bad. The old game of Dirt Track Racing 2 is more fun than quite boring is the nascar that surrounds an oval.

The contact physics are still bad how the tire wear works is still bad and the fact the AI don’t have tire wear is bad. I mean all they have to do is play thunder 2004 for a few days to see how a console nascar game should be played. In that game the AI actually have tire wear and actually race multiple lanes and one little tap doesn’t send your car in an uncontrollable wreck. There’s definite potential in this series but there’s still problems from their first game that came out 3 years ago that haven’t been addressed.

Toni Ianone the line that tells you when to brake in the corners? Go to your settings where you set your controls and bottom left where the assists are like clutch, autoshift etc. it should be called racing line or something.

EA is TRASH. This game is superior to anything EA has done. NO BODY wants anything to do with EA for obvious reasons. EA is a parasite in the gaming world. They ruin everything they touch. NO THANKS. Monster/704 Games is the future.

@@VirtuaFighterRPG Nascar 09 was far from perfect, the presentation was a bit stale and career was repetitive, and it had no manufacturers, but the game play was good for a console game. Nascar Heat 3 feels like a bad joke compared to Nascar 09, let alone a proper game like Nascar Racing 03

@@Josh-dm5eq well those games might be good but that's decades into the past ( 03? ). Ya, I know EA actually used to be a real gaming company, instead of being a stain and a plague that it is today. EA is a garbage company, everything they touch these days turns to shit. So if EA did Nascar today, they would insert their infamous loot crate gambling mechanic in the game ( in their FIFA games they use this but call them "cards" ) further robbing gamers , many who are kids. It's literally gambling and yes governmental authorities have gotten involved both in the USA and around the world. Seriously, look into it Anyways, EA stopped the Nascar stuff because they see how Nascar is going down the tubes. Nascar themselves are a lot like EA, controlled by multinational companies with political agendas that dont give a fuck about the community who brought them their wealth and fame to begin with. With that said, you think EA would stick around Nascar since they both are ran by parasitic investors. Listen, the small companies involved with Heat are still learning and are getting better. Support these smaller companies, cuz they usually have their heart in the right place. You have to see the big picture. And be an active fan and contact these companies like Monster and 704 games to tell them what you love but also what they need to work on. And in the meantime, you can always get Forza on the Xbox and get the Nascar DLC

@@Josh-dm5eq the series has been noted by players and critics as progressing in the right direction. With each new game they improve. You have to use your brain here. It's smaller studios taking flight. Not a bloated obscenely rich has-been company that with each new game gets worse and worse. Hence you no longer can play a new EA nascar title. Heat is on the up and up. That's what the fans of heat see and the data shows it. So you can either keeping play EA Nascar 06 and remain stuck in the past or you can support start up companies that actually care about what they are making.

If they really wanted to make a Nascar Sim they could but instead they want profit over perfection. Its turning into a Madden Football. You get get new look with small tweaks then busted with a $50 to $60 price tag for small upgrades. Nascar Heat is going same Direction as Nascar Racing down. Notice the races stands are empty compared to 10 to 20 years ago. Nascar had a great thing going and destroyed it. The day Dale Sr passed was the day Nascar passed. Without Dale Sr love him or hate him he is what keep Nascar going in the right direction.

Compared to gran turismo sport, this game is almost unplayable. Steering dead zone??? Wtf is that? There is no way to totally adjust a deadzone completely out of the steering. So as you go straight, there is about 2 inches side to side of play in the wheel before there is any reaction on track. Terrible game if you're into sim racing. Don't buy.

Heeeey let's make a great racing game, let's put a lot of effort, knowledge and money in it to simulate racing at it's best. Buuuut let's make the cars understandable and made of stone. Silly game, very bad simulation of crashes,made me sell the game.

What I dont like about nascar games is 2:15. You jump to the inside and overtake like 9 cars and then take the turn like shit. No offense. But if you can be that fast then all the other cars should also be that fast. It just seems like they make the players car so much faster than everyone elses and it really takes the strategy out of racing. In a real nascar race you wont win the race ever without the help of someone. They constantly drive bumper to bumper to be faster, in nascar games flowing bumper to bumper makes you go slower. When in reality they are making each other go faster. I dont like games that let you drive like shit and your just faster than everyone else, taking bad lines, and racing like shit and still winning.

Nascar Heat 3 sucks. No real challenge. Don't waste your money. Unless you like driving in circles. Go get MotoGp 2019. It's more challenging. You're have to set up your bike just right for every track. Or you going to oversteer or understeer. The career mode is 10x better than Nascar Heat 3.

Clarence Kenner It’s about a month old. It’s a fun arcade-like game. In contrast, if you’re a close NASCAR fan, the game is horrible
