@@MichaelPate-michaelkpate you only get about 6 races on a past champions provisional if I remember correctly. We had way better racing back then so it sees to me to have been a good thing.

@@gallennorris782 1991-2003 - Past Champion Provisional had no limit 2004-2006 - Limited to 10 2007-2012 - Limited to 6 2013-2015 - Limited to once every 6 races So which version did you want to use? There was also the system where you use the previous years Top 35 to seed the first 6 races. Which was essentially a limited Charter System as new teams would try and buy points from the year before. My problem with the Charter System was that it was instituted out of nowhere but overall I think it works.

The biggest issue NASCAR has right now is it still thinks it's a national sport but the money isn't there anymore. They have to go back to their roots or they're gone within 10 years.

Charters sucks. They could easily fix this by making it 43 car fields again.

He was a dirt racer who went thru the Drive for Diversity program". His fellow peers were Mexican, Black, Japanese, females and etc. In fact, Kurt Busch had to really work his way back. That was not cancel culture back then. It was called "earning your privilege to drive". I know if you said a racial slur word at work. You probably would get fired too. Suspended and etc. Remember, employers have access to social media too. He or she may infer that you are ok with racial slurs at WORK. Now, if he were playing a private game with you and said a racial slur word. That's a different story. He was at work and People around the world heard it. Don't start with ya'll say it. That's a different discussion. These owners are in their very late 70's- 85. I am 57. I barely can relate to these dudes. Imagine being 12-24 or 24-35. It is their time. You had yours. It is how life is suppose to go. I remember iron cast stoves, gas stoves, electric stoves, self- cleaning ovens, table top oven roasters and now Microwave ovens. I still can cut a whole chicken. My daughter can't and doesn't want to know. Local track racers love racing. Most of them DO NOT want the life of a NASCAR driver. All that travel, stress from sponsors, wives not being supportive and etc. I know quite a few of them. Local racing is what they love. Why mess up a good thing? Ask them yourselves.

What makes you think Chip cares about American drivers? The only Americans driving for him at all in any of his teams outside of Nascar are Jimmy Johnson, Sara Price and Kyle LeDuc. Even in Nascar this is the guy that gave us Juan Pablo Montoya and Dario Franchiti.

It's a sinking ship, and this new car is the final wave.

The charter system helps. There is finally something of value to sell for these teams. All the old guard are getting out while they can.

Very few kids grow up liking racing anymore is one thing and the constant push for electric cars ain't helping either.

@@mulletsrule3388 because the 2 car is a promotion to Matty D. He could either be on the real Penske team or be on the 21( which is the team that gets the leftovers from Penske). The 21 team gets a lot of their equipment from the Penske team. If Penske skips him and takes Cindric (I don’t think Penske would let Cindric go anywhere else since he is the face of their Xfinty team and seems very promising) in the 2 car I doubt he wants to sit on the tier 2 level team his whole career. Trackhouse is willing to make big moves to be competitive. So I think they would go after somebody like Matty D. In his early years of his career probably not in his prime yet and shows that he can be competitive. With Trackhouse being a 2 car team with the willingness to invest to be better I’d say Trackhouse only gets better and better for the foreseeable future. If Trackhouse offers Matty D a ride I would be shocked if he didn’t take it.

@@Cuhh346 I’d like to agree with that but moving forward there are only 3 big name teams that run Chevy. Hendrick, which probably won’t have an opening for a very long time. RCR, which will continue to waste a seat on A. Dillon and I don’t see Reddick losing the 8. Trackhouse which I don’t think will offer him. I don’t see Chastain going to one of the Chevy teams that can’t get in the top 20 just to stay loyal to Chevy. If a bigger ride is available I think any driver won’t care what manufacturer logo is on the nose

I could see it. Childress got some good contracts to be a sole supplier for some parts in the next gen car, he's probably thinking he can make a decent living selling his race teams, selling those parts to teams that remain, and running his winery. I just hope that nobody else runs the 3 although with Childress gone nothing would stop anybody from running it I guess.

JGR has been grooming Christopher Bell for too long and Truex is too big a name for Gibbs to lose. Plus, the organization is grooming Gibbs' grandson to be the next big thing at JGR. I don't see any way both Busch brothers work together at JGR.

The cars will be junk next year (I guess he could sell them to an Xfinity team) and the people by and large aren't going to move to Nashville (and most of them won't be needed with the IKEA furniture assembly manual cars for Cup next year).

Nothing is left of dei that anyone other than who won't be named can get a hold of. Jr could get any of the car numbers but that as far as that goes. If jr bought rcr it not going to be for anything but the charters he would shut down the engine program and most of employees gone that worked at rcr and the shops that rcr still use would be probably for Richard to rent out to others as I expect no matter what Richard will remain owner of the property or Mike Dillion

Granted the equipment is junk next year but you get all machines associated as well. Its always been about purchasing DEI. Will it be the same? No. Does he get the numbers and erase Teresa from the sport permanently? Yes. After all the lawsuits and family turmoil, that by itself is a victory and a huge 🖕🏻
