Docking Dale Earnhardt Jr. 25 points for one cursing slipup is the stupidest "violation" I've ever seen and heard of.
@JohnSmith-mk5jt Жыл бұрын
It was so frustrating, especially to do it in the midst of a championship battle. At least those 25 points were somewhat inconsequential to his year-end points standing (going off of raw points, at least). Though I do like to think he would have been much closer had he not suffered his injury in the American Le Mans Series

Owned his own engine business at one point until Hendrick bought it out and Hendrick hired him. At one point Hendrick got their engines from B&R engines from Winston-Salem. Kenny Bingham and Ronnie Reavis. Dorton knew how to make power didn't he?

It's Kenseth's fault our point system got messed up like this, he has a huge point lead in '03, they start the chase, Jimmie Johnson wins five championships in a row from '06-'10, and they mess up the point system. What they should do is simply go by laps run and laps led. Benny Parsons had one victory in '73 and still won the championship. I could see Earnhardt Jr. win a championship or start winning again, or at least see Jimmie try to tie the record set by Petty and Earnhardt.

@San47di9 жыл бұрын
+bernardo ibarra I don't hate Jimmie Johnson. I think he's great! I believe the negativity is based on 'perceived' personality issues (which I, by the way, think it's stupid! lol) I read a comment someone else made who said Jimmie was wooden and didn't show enough excitement when he wins a race. Now tell me, how silly is that?? lol Everyone who wins doesn't have to have a hoop-n-holler personality! lol

His interminable dominance in NASCAR, alleged cheating and tampering with cars, and particularly dull personality is what most fans despise about Jimmie Johnson. I used to be one of those who hated him and his success, but I respect him more than anyone now. There is no denying that Johnson is a legend of the sport, and Chad Knaus is one of the most intelligent crew chiefs ever. He knows how to prepare for a race like no other.

They ruined this series with this format change up, trying to contrive reasons to make it entirely driver focused to build new starts post-Earnhardt. This misses the point of the Year in Review series entirely. Unwatchable.
