Nissan Stadium, the home of the Tennessee Titans, has been a staple on the east side of downtown Nashville for nearly 25 years now. Soon it will be replaced with a brand new, 60,000 seat fixed-roof modern marvel that will house the Titans, corporate mega events and concerts of all kinds. I’m a bills fan and our new stadium is opening in 2026 the big differences though our current Highmark stadium opened in 1973. It’s old and it’s outdated when the last bills game is ever played there he’ll be 53 almost 54 years old. It’s kind of crazy to me how you guys need a new stadium already when the current one opened in 1999 the newer stadiums in the NFL are only 23 years old and they’re nowhere close to being replace Hinezfield opened in 2001 Gillette Stadium opened in 2001 Raymond James stadium opened in 1998 etc none of those stadiums are even close to being replaced

Yes, it definitely was not built super well. Hopefully the new one is done better.

Nashville is in a transitional climate area, so in a way you could we get the worst of many different weather issues. We get more rain than Seattle. The temps can easily reach over 100 in summer and below zero in the winter. The Titans struggled to keep the field in good condition because of this, and I can't help but think that this would also age the stadium prematurely. The original cost estimates for the stadium were just under $300 million. The new domed stadium will likely exceed $2 Billion.

Thank you! Yes the current one was not really built to last and hence why they are building a new one so much sooner than someone like the Bills.

Nashville News a New Stadium 🏟️ I can't wait until it opens. While Tax money will be used Titans Owner will also be used. You may not be a Fan of football. But the city will be getting money from the Tourist. It will be used for other things.

For the majority of the year a football stadium sits vacant. The taxpayer should *never* pay for a football stadium. Let the *billionaire* that owns the team do that.

So I definitely am in favor of the owners paying more towards construction and not using the tax payer to get a new stadium. That being said, the space will probably be in use 100-150 days a year between Titans games, concerts, other sporting events, community uses, etc.
