Well said. I saw Osipova live recently. The most moving piece, "Pure", was a contemporary duet. Check out Plisetskaya dancing to Bolero.

I have seen many of the greatest russian ballerinas like Zakharova, Lopatkina, Vishneva etc and although they are great, Osipovas amount of character, acting skills, elevation and artistry can not begin to compare to any regular russian prima. Edit: If you are talking about the former russian primas like Plisetskaya and Pavlova then I understand you. But I think she'll be written down in history among those great names

Zephir2000 they have all kind of price ; from 6£ up to 150£. When I saw Don Q I paid about 50£ for very good place. But I have also paid 6 £ for a standing ticket to see Giselle😁...go check out they home page Royal Opera House, it´s quite informative. ✌️

PS: and they are also very early to tell the roles casting, so good time to plan a visit/travel.

The action takes place in the royal court of ancient India. During the betrothal ceremony, Nikiya is forced to dance, after which she receives a basket of flowers. Unbeknownst to her, the floral tribute comes courtesy of her rival, the spiteful Gamzatti and contains a deadly snake. The snake bites Nikiya; mortally wounded, Nikiya dies. Solor dreams of reuniting with Nikiya in the afterlife, or "Kingdom of Shades." He smokes opium to escape from his grief. At the end of the ballet, Solor and Nikiya reunite in spirit in the Kingdom of the Shades.

Ну поспорю. Грачева и Цискаридзе золотой тандем.. Она и еще Лопаткина трагическая Баядерка. А Осипова, более живая, с читаемой надеждой на взаимную любовь. У первых двух в танце сквозит обреченность и трагизм. Они просто разные, но одинаково замечательно прожили роль Баядерки. Свой подход ценен всегда.

Осипова очень хороша в Дон Кихоте, в Баядерке, на мой взгляд, прочтение роли Надеждой Грачевой более логично. Недавно появилось видео Грачева Ветров, 1993 год, там все видно)
