Same…I moved into a new apartment 2 years ago but I only just graduated college a few weeks ago so I took a week off work (the first week of January) and get my house in order. I still have boxes that haven’t been unpacked, so much BS lying around and broken shit…I’m so ready. We’ll be cleaning together in spirit 😂🤗

LOVE the alternative game storage bins! We have loads of different games and every single one is in a box that is a different size, it makes it so difficult to get them all to sit nicely in a space! I love that the bins stack and are all the same, it's going to make it so much easier to pull each game out and it will make for a faster cleanup afterwards too. Thank you for this!

@@NatalieBennett That’s how it is with my house and family too. Sometimes people say that they’ve already gone through decluttering, but it’s a journey as the family grows. Needs change also, so some I thought I needed may no longer be true later on. Thank you for always taking us on the journey with you! It’s definitely motivating. Natalie you are doing it correctly!... you shouldn't make your bed in the morning.. you should pull back your bed cover and let light and cool air onto the bed to reduce the bed bugs. Thank you for talking through some of the items. It really helps with my self dialogue as I'm decluttering. Such as the cheese shape cutters. My kid loves watching The Family Fudge where she makes the cute lunches, and I would love for that to be my fantasy self. So I highly consider the bento lunch boxes, and the fun shapes, etc. But I hardly put together a lunch, let alone, a lunch that requires a lot of prep. I appreciate that you said it's your fantasy self too, and it's okay to let it go. As Kim would say, I see you as "the woman across the room" that has it all together and does all the cute things. I love to see the real, rawness that is so relatable.

Merry Christmas Working all the week including Christmas Day so just the basics for me So much decluttering done as I unpack boxes I moved into this house a year ago. Slowly renovating and decluttering as I go In the passage linen cupboard and medical supplies. I usually have a box of gifts also for events coming up but as it’s Christmas week and my daughters birthday Christmas Eve I have an empty box and only needed to buy one thing and of course the wrap and delivery delivery tomorrow.before work

I’m so glad I have a simple morning routine. Use bathroom, wash hands and face and do my daily Covid test . Have breakfast. Do dishes Then make bed and get dressed , and brush my hair brush teeth. Then I’m into the day. So easy no make up no hair styling .

Yes! Today is the 25th. Me and my husband are spending our day decluttering areas of the house we feel are a little hoarded. I am doing my home office. I have a ton of stickers and bags etc. hobby stuff that i want to get rid of. He is cleaning out his closet lol. This is awesome! I want to do the kitchen later in the week lolol

I went through Invisalign as well, I asked my dentist to recycle the retainers. If your dentist doesn’t have a recycle program you can reach out to Invisalign directly to properly dispose of the retainers ;)

This video has been so motivational for me Nathalie 🙂 I really love your videos! On the games organization where. you put them on boxes, I had a thought. Not sure if your kids are the ones getting the games? If it is, I had a sense that it would be difficult for them to get the bottom game on a pile of 6 game boxes. I thought that if you got a shelf between that space you could put 3 games on top and 3 where they are. My brain works like yours and kids, so I was just wondering. It would be easier for me to want to play with the games that are in the bottom of the pile LOL.

Interesting. I always leave my butter out in the cupboard. I've never had my butter go racid and most of the time I don't go through it fast. I only take 1 stick out at a time. I enjoy when you declutter and talk through things what and why you are getting rid of things. I usually stop any videos from anyone that doesn't go through the process as I find it boring. So I just wanted to let you know I enjoy the talking (I understand that's not always possible).

Take the games out of the boxes and throw them away. put the pieces and directions in zip lock bags. But them all in a file box. Line up all the boards behind the bags. You will save so much room. Oh label the bags of course

@@NatalieBennett I thought: Tidying up is put stuff where things belong before the end of the day or when the activity is done. Declutter is the process before deep clean. (It's cyclical?) And after major family get together. Yet-dont do the two at the same time??

To clarify I was speaking about the act of *cleaning* vs *decluttering.* Cleaning includes scrubbing, polishing, dusting vacuuming etc and in my experience focusing my decluttering energy on JUST finding stuff that’s out of place is a better use of that time. When I get distracted with cleaning tasks while I’m trying to purge unwanted or out of place items I end up diving my attention and not getting as much done! I hope that makes sense!
