Jonnie W was a great guest for the podcast. Very quick comebacks, and several times I literally laughed out loud. And holy moly, I can't believe we are halfway through episode #177 only just now hearing Dusty's BB story. If he ever writes a memoir, I'll listen to the audiobook!

Dusty.. that feeling of not wanting to leave your kids with strangers never goes away! My kids started off in public school which was also hard. When they came home during COVID, we started homeschooling and never went back. Everyone has to do what's best for them but for me and my house, my kids are staying with me! lol!

Hello Folks!! Clay Stoker here. I also remember just having a tub of just random Lego. So we might have another Mandela effect going on here. Since the beginning of the plastic Lego creation, they have had sets. They sold both as they do now. You most certainly can buy sets and boxes of just pieces.. Also, as far as I know, all Lego stores have a pick a brick wall as well

One reason why a lot of people know about Chuck Yeager is that the film “The Right Stuff” was a pretty epic. He is portrayed as a respected man in the movie. It’s like the grandfather of Tom Hanks’s Apollo 13 movie. The men in the film are portrayed as the great men of their generation-played by exceptional actors, like Sam Shepherd who played Chuck Yeager and Scott Glenn who played Alan Shepherd. Chuck Yeager stands out because he is the man of a previous generation who is highly respected. Great movie. Highly recommend it. I have good memories of watching it with my dad.

My niece was 4 last Christmas and made it clear she didn’t want any baby dolls (she has 3 older brothers). Well, she got one anyway and quickly proclaimed she “doesn’t love babies.” Cut to later that night we are sitting in the kitchen and she walks by with the doll on her way to her room. Totally unprompted she says “I’ll play with it, but I’m mad about it because I told you I don’t like babies.”

On You Bet Your Life he talks to all kinds of “ordinary” people- by that I mean all kinds of characters and his back and forth can be lightening fast. Aaron read that comment about the embarrassing moment of being a Taco Bell regular. When we were dating, there was a Chinese Restaurant near my husband’s house and we were such regulars, the business owner gave us a wedding present and offered to sing at our wedding. After we got married, we moved to Dayton, Ohio. We moved from an apartment to a house after about a year and the Chinese restaurant we frequented noticed when our phone number changed when we moved.

The slinky and skateboard gift combo for the child that lives in. Trailer at the end of a dirt road is the funniest thing ever. However, the submission of homemade human centipede style action figure toys by Dusty is some pretty psycho stuff that likely got his name put on some “lists” long ago! He should bring those letters in and read the responses with the tone of an unsuspecting toy CEO knowing that he likely sent an accompanying letter to the authorities…. ;) Great episode gentlemen!

When I was a kid I got the batmobile (for the 1989 movie) for Christmas. My friend already had it so I knew that it came with a few accessories including a plastic shield to emulate the protective cocoon from the movie. After we had finished opening all of our presents my parents could tell something was bothering me. I told them that the cocoon and other accessories were missing. They thought about it for a few minutes and then said that maybe Santa dropped them and I should go check outside under the chimney. Sure enough, the cocoon and other accessories were laying there.

Happy Christmas and Hey Bear. As a child of the 70's / 80's I had a myriad of toys but unfortunately none of them made it to adulthood. The one toy I was into in the 80's was Lego. We lived in West Germany in the early 80's when I was introduced to them and my friends and I would mix our Lego and build all manner of things. When we left Germany I did not get mine back (regrets). As an adult I have spent many of the past 20 years buying sets. I now have a wall full of them assembled and n display.

Dusty may have grown up in a trailer, but at least he had a real PlayStation. We couldn’t afford it, maybe we bought food or something. Anyway, my sister and I drew a tv screen on a cardboard box and wrapped duct tape around a Snapple bottle and pretended we had a video game system. We told kids in the neighborhood it was better bc we could play any game we wanted. Side benefit was the bottle top felt kind of like a button, so that’s neat.

The guys should watch the movie The Right Stuff. It’s a fantastic movie about the first astronauts AND Chuck Yeager!

When I was a child, I received a Stretch Armstrong my birthday one year. Upon opening my present to reveal the new toy, it was taken away immediately. The older guys at my party needed to play with it first. They (4 of them) ripped it completely apart on the first stretch. They then proceeded to try and stretch me since the toy was no longer stretchable. I wasn’t even offered a replacement. “And that was the worst birthday I’ve had.” -Michael Scot

When you guys were discussing Better help's policy allowing you to change therapists anytime, it reminded me of an experience I had with a therapist a few years ago. I didn't really care for her, and was strongly considering a change, but I thought I would give her one more chance. At that last appointment she proceeded to nod off in the first 5 minutes and start snoring. I got up and walked out and she didn't wake, even when I closed the door behind me. I could see her snoozing peacefully through the her office window. Not only did she charge me for that session, she vigorously resisted the idea of me changing therapist. Way to go, Better Help!

This is for Nate: Is there anywhere we can buy your Netflix specials? They have expired on Netflix 😢. I never saw a warning that they would expire. I’m I know it’s not your fault, you had said you don’t own them. It seems like they would have kept them on since you were nominated for a Grammy and were the best SNL comedian ever. Love your podcast and watch everything I can find with your name on it. ❤️

I was at the Friday night show in Atlanta. Since it wasn't the first time I'd seen Aaron live, I could tell he was a little off, but I still laughed out loud during the whole show & enjoyed meeting him after. I think that's worth mentioning. 😊
