Most sensible truckers wouldn't let their tanks get under half full, and that alone will get him over a few hundred miles in which I'm sure he can siphon other abandoned company trucks he sees along the way. Refrigerated trailers that hauls everyone's food also have a 5-10 gal tank of diesel as well, and they're usually all over the place. There are plenty of other places for those paying attention.

I don't think it would be too much of an issue living off the land after dirty bombs but it would definitely change the environment. And also their might be competition with the thousands of other ppl who ran to the hills. Nature finds a way not only humans. But yes he should definitely stock of cans and stuff cuz the organic food ain gone organic no more 😂

Remember it might be fun to make your own bunker but then you’ll need a larger or similar sized bunker just for the food if you’re talkin years. Then you’ll also need another similar sized bunker for the water storage. Might as well make another one for the toilet paper you’ll need for the next 20 years.

Actually the dude doing the insect foraging does make good sense by preparing his family for eating them because of the disgust factor. I did a jungle survival course in the Phillipines when I was in the Marines and learned a lot about eating critters. And if you're not a prepper storing tons of garbage it is definitely a viable solution I guess. As for me, I'll just raid anyone & anything I can.

The only thing I suggest for Doomsday preppers who have a large arsenal of weaponry is to not have so many different models in each category. If you're going to have a pistol, make sure to have 10 of the same models, not 10 different models. This will help with salvaging parts from inoperable weapons. The same applies to the long-range and mid-range style platforms. Research which has the best durability and how to fix each one. This will also keep the supply simple with ammunition. Holding only a few ammo categories like 22lr, slugs, 45s,5.56s, and a .308s. How much you hold and can store is up to you. Just keep it simple.
@audreydoyle5268
@audreydoyle5268 4 ай бұрын
Exactly. If you're going to specialise in weaponry for the apocalypse, you need replacements. Just get a good shotgun, a good pistol, sights and silences. And plenty of backups in the same model. It's also a good idea to have either the means to make more rounds, or a non-fire long range, like a slingshot or bow. I'd go with the latter, much quieter, and if you have an abundance of deer, you can make more arrows with the sinue from your prey.
