I hate to be that guy. Great footage as always NG. This is just whatever footage they were able to capture (some of which was excellent) but they strung it together in a not-very-coherent way. Photojournalism is storytelling photography and this jumped randomly from subject to unrelated subject. Stories should have beginnings, middles and endings which form a complete story. Not disjointed separate clips sending the viewer in random directions. Before I get piled on I am a photojournalist. I have worked for National Geo TV. I have worked on movies. I live on the big island. Not being a troll. When NG were here they hired me for what I do well and they told me that "TV is fake and we will tell you what to believe". I will now ALSO say, these were the most professional people I have ever worked with. This video jumped randomly, not 'fluently' from one subject to another and it probably could have been edited to tell a proper story. Sorry! I am not better than NGS....just saw some weak editing and was surprised being as the source is so, usually, flawless.

Hawaii has mythos about volcanoes and spirits. I think L Ron Hubbard swagger jacked them. I think that Volcanoes out of the sea should be studied as some sort of energy point that was buried. A lot of areas that had bursts of volcanoes had ancient architecture like pyramids. What if the earth center and our sun 🌄 have a natural bond 🤔 A lot of mythology is just stories but where did the Ideas come from and how did they survive the generations?

The Scarlet Hawaiian Honey Creeper is NOT an example of the THEORY OF EVOLUTION (yes, it’s a theory, unprovable). Evolution indicates this bird started out as something other than a bird (rock, tree, snail, lizard) then became a bird by some mysterious mythical method, unproven. Yes, it’s ancestor was a bird. The variations are the result of adaptation, NOT evolution.
