Lions aren't lazy , they are hunting animals and they have to have the energy to hunt so a lot of sleep is needed .

@@bossHogOG That's not what she ment. She means human hunters shooting them for trophys. Lions can't change millions of years of hard wired behaviour not to kill. They are apex predators it's a massive part of what they are, the natural world is brutal, lions have to be brutes to be number 1 out there.

I love to listen to Dr. Craig Packer. He is one of the world’s foremost experts on lions. He and his students found out lions can count.

The lion at 1:47 is one of the most amazing animals I've ever seen on a screen or in person. Such a titan. Watch for the ligament or artery that is in his back left leg when he walks; it looks like a one inch steel cable.

Simon Janevic you know,male lions circle their territory for an hour, then eat and sit around for another hour,and then sleep for 22 hours which means male lions are more active during the night.

My God, they are so beautiful! My heart soars just watching them! I'm saving up to go to Africa in 2017 for a month to go and see if I can spot lions in the wild and to do some volunteer work (with reputable places, NOT canned hunting facilities or cub petting farms). When Cecil was murdered it changed my life forever. I had always loved lions, but something about his death shattered my heart. I cried for days, I know that might sound weird to some, but it really touched my soul. I then returned to activism, full-time, for lions, to save them, to work to educate and raise awareness. I love them so much. Thank you, Craig Packer and Nat Geo for the wonderful few minutes on lions. #BanTrophyHunting #StopSCI #ShutDownSCI #SaveLions #BanCannedHunting

hi, that Lion has a name a researcher gave him, it's c-boy. at the time he was named, he was with 2 other males, she lazily coined them, a-boy, b-boy, c-boy. he should be 13 yrs old now but Im doubtful he's made it this long. that doc was filmed between 2011-2013.

@@cheetahgirllol7704 dont know if you know this but last June (2018) c-boy was found dead by park rangers. It appeared his death was natural. I got his face tattooed on my arm last May at same time I had purchased a stunning signed protrait (29 x 37) of him as he was sitting like a spinx in the savannah at dusk from Michael Nichols. I had inquired about him through emails during the order process. That's when I was told of his death which was a few weeks after I got that tattoo, which was my first one ever. I picked my online presence name specifically because of c-boy, about 6 years ago after I learned of him. He is my inspiration for raising awareness for the lions plight.

I've a close friend who is vying to go to Tanzania with the Peace Corps. I've been looking at vids, the Lions. Lots of remote areas, undeveloped still, here. Lions, living forever. A worthy goal.

Why on Earth some humans continue to ask the same "Is it just me who ..." type of questions? Out of the 7+ billion people, do you really think that you are that unique? But anyway, I will give you the credit, wildlife documentaries are far more interesting and watchable than your average TV show, let alone reality shows which are really the lowest of the lowest.

The scientist narrating this was on a show is saw a while back. 3 male Cheetah were badgering a female who was not in heat. A male lion, a big one chased all 4, caught the girl and crushed her head and caught one of the brothers and crushed his head too. wow.
