WOW !!!! Beyond Impressive

I have been listening to and playing for over 50years.......never never have I heard better!!!!

Superb playing and great acoustical recording. A very special treat for me because I have the Moller console previous to this one installed and playing in my home.

TOTALLY IMMERSIVE THEATER PIPE ORGAN!!! I’ve been waiting a long time for this kind of program to turn the theater organ world on its ear! I mean Nathan already did it with his CD “Synthesis” but to see it done right in front of our eyes with multiple camera angles and ultra high definition sound is nothing short of jaw-droppingly spectacular! From the first second, he made theater organ cool! His Uptown Funk arrangement alone NEEDS to go viral! Bravo Nathan! 🎶👍❤️

I discovered Nathan Avakian through a concert on the Atlantic City Kimball at the Boardwalk and was sold on first encounter. This programme strongly reinforces that impression as well as demonstrating what a fine instrument the Dickinson Kimball is. It's exciting to encounter a gifted musician who can take the qualities of these wonderful concert and theatre organs, and use them to interpret and re-imagine musical genres that aren't commonly associated with such instruments. Loved the Scott Joplin duet, too!

A brilliant and creative performer. It's great to see and hear a young player bring new life to the theatre organ, making it live up to the descriptive name "unit orchestra" with an emphasis on "orchestra". It's a long time since I have heard a performer that has such a combination of superb technique along with arrangements and style that put most other performers truly in the shade, They say comparisons are odious, that suits me as I can't think of anyone who is comparable to Nathan! An edit to pay compliment to the video recording and direction of the playing and organ.

The Guilmant Toccata with a rock beat is something I never expected to hear in my lifetime. I guess I can cross that off my bucket list. On second thought, I plan to hear it again many times. I wonder how many other listeners recognized the Guilmant. Hmmmmmm... Can you do the same thing with the Second Organ Symphony of Louis Vierne?? Probably not. Too many changes in tempo and meter to be practical. Now, the Widor Fifth has possibilities. No?

I'm a life-long Mancini fan. Thanks for that awesome medley. It was great in every way. BTW... Mancini did not write LOVE STORY.

Incredible playing, showing that these wonderful instruments can be relevant to audiences of today. My one disappointment was hearing the contribution of what I can generically call a "drum machine". I dislike the inflexible repetitive beat in any context, but to me, it is anachronistic when contrasted with the organ. [It's odd, even when fully programmed, this digital device sounds "mechanical", whereas the organ, which is "mechanical", provides the superbly "musical" part of what we hear. Personal observation and preference, although I think the amazing rendition of Flight of the Bumblebee" would have been even more amazing without the digital contribution.] An afterthought, following my earlier comment. (3 yeas ago!!). On the other hand --- Black & White Rag is a stunning 'tour de force'., made possible by modern video technology.
