Thanks Nathan for the video. I also export in TIFF file allowing me to first apply chromatic aberration correction and also fix white balance for all the bracketed shots. Also a tend to put the brightest part of the image on the edges so that I can make local adjustment (brush to increase shadow&exposure) inside the panorama without taking care of seam problems. Request: I know you made a lot of videos on your amazing recipe for photography using flash. Any chance you share experience of using flash on camera while bracketing? Thanks in advance.

First, thank you very much for the time and effort you put in making this tutorials and writing your books, they are great and have been an enormous help!!! I have already read 4 of your books... (the Interiors, the advanced editing, the Business and the shoot list) and now I am reading the virtual tours book... I have a sony alpha mount crop sensor camera (a 77II)... I have not been able to find an affordable (nor even a non affordable) fisheye lens that I can use with my camera... I have a 10-20 mm tamron lens, but it is not fisheye... I could not find in your book or in your virtual tour tutorials an explanation of how to calculate how many shots I should take in case of not being able to use a fisheye lens, how many degrees should I rotate my camera? At this moment my business is not able to support me the change of my camera setup, so I need to be able to use what I have... Again, thank you very much for all the information you share, you are a great teacher!!!

Hi Ana, and thank you for the kind words. The Rokinon 8mm should work amzn.to/3kjqJ8t for your a7ii. But you also bring up an interesting point that is more the root of your issue: affordability versus gear investments for your photography business. Since you are using more of consumer camera with a lower end lens, you may want to consider newer/better equipment in your 2021 business budget to up your game, and grow your business. This is something that's covered in the business technique book, but basically, skimping on gear investment doesn't save you money; instead, it can rob you of a successful career. So when taking a higher level view of this problem, I'd suggest working out your next year's budget and goals, realize what gear will help you to further/grow your career, and then make gear investments from there. I think you might find that opting for a newer camera with better lenses would be worth it. Thanks again Ana!

Another great video Nathan. I am gradually working through your playlist and I have also just purchased and started reading your virtual tours book. I was about to purchase PTGui, the pro version, but the price seems to have increased a lot recently. Do you think the pro version is necessary or are all the key functions available in the standard version? Thank you

Another great video. I am pretty experienced with PTGui, but still great to watch. Quick question though... Your export was incredibly quick from PTGui!!! What spec PC are you using? Or have you adjusted any GPU settings?

Two things that can help: First, I talk about lenses, gear, software, workflow, and more in my ebook on virtual tours, which you can download from amzn.to/3pG97rp Second, this video might help kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hMp2irp7m9W9iX0.html

You can use any lens on any camera with a good pano head to capture 360 photos. You will likely though have to take many more shots. I talk about this and my recommendations in more detail in my latest guide on virtual tour photography, here's a link if you'd like to check that out: amzn.to/33qW8Pk

Hello! Thanks for this great video. I know that you don't like HDR technique, and prefer Flambient. But this is a very small room. Flambient is not needed. Wouldn't it be better to use HDR?
@NathanCoolPhoto
@NathanCoolPhoto 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! But you might want to rewatch the video...this didn't use flambient, it was just a single ambient exposure, even simpler and faster than HDR :) I have more on doing this simple, ambient-only technique in this other video, which I'd recommend: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pM2Ag5mV052mc40.html

Marzipano is telling me that: images not 1:1 cube faces or 2:1 spheres so i can't do anything.
@NathanCoolPhoto

That's because you didn't create a 360 pano with a true 2:1 ratio. I cover this in detail and how to ensure you get the correct results in your workflow in my virtual tour e-book, here's a link if you'd like to check that out: amzn.to/3fAM9yo

Nathan, Question on your 8mm, is that lens for a APC or full frame camera. The reason why is i have the Nikon d750, full frame like your 610, and with a 8mm Rokinon ( with lens cover) but its a APC lens, So i change the settings in my nikon to use the DX mode. I never tried to shoot it on FX mode and without the hood.
@rickkremer0525
@rickkremer0525 3 жыл бұрын
sorry just read your links it was a APC lens. I might have to try shooting with my Rokinon with the lens hood off. Thx
@NathanCoolPhoto
@NathanCoolPhoto 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Rick, yep, it's an cropped-sensor lens, but with the hood removed it becomes a full-frame, circular fisheye lens, older models of this lens had a fixed hood that couldn't be removed, but the newer Samyangs do. Not a lens I recommend for most work, but good for tight spaces. Here's more on that lens: amzn.to/32odI77

Nathan, Thank you so much for these videos! I am a subscriber and very much enjoy your content! I have a Sony A7iii and you may be familiar with this, but it has a crop mode which would allow me to use the 8mm as 8mm or 12mm. Given that, could I use this lens as my all-around lens for 360 tours or would I still be better off buying the 12mm fisheye? I have a Sony a6500 as well so the benefit of the 8mm of course would be that I could use it on both cameras.
