Many of Nathan's videos show the graft of the paddle out, the camaraderie in the water, the amazing waves and dangerous rides. That's all great, I'd watch it all day. But this video is great example of other thing he manages to capture on a regular basis: the essence of exploring, being in wild places, and hanging out with friends. Love it.

Nathan you need a few years to cruise Aotearoa and to meet the people who know what is down that road, over that hill, across that estuary, along that beach. Come back one day and use all your connections. To catch that night sky, clearly - the gods of nature are on your side. Stay well.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I’d muuuch rather watch these videos of epic little adventures scoring novel waves than a slow-mo gopro vid of pipeline (not that surfing pipe isn’t very commendable)

Nate, super fun to see you on a bodyboard. Some days it's the perfect tool for the job. Way to many guys look down on it for no good reason. I've been surfing for 57 years, and ride a full spectrum of boards, from tiny fish to big wave boards to specialized nose riders. I still think bodyboarding might be THE most fun one can have on Planet Earth.

There's about 100 slabs in nz at least , & if u know nz wind & swell patterns its easy to score.

@@rj8557 And I'm talking actual, proper world class slabs, not once in a blue moon, clamp on the end, sorta heavyish, but not really that gnarly and don't handle over four foot slabs like 95 of the 100 you're talking about are.
