Microwave is only required for a dedicated circuit if it is built in.

This is correct. Otherwise you can plug it into either of the 2 dedicated 20 amp appliance circuits.

The fridge is allowed to be on 1 of the 2 required branch chain small appliance circuits.

This would be stupid and irresponsible. Most newer fridges require a dedicated circuit. Just because you are allowed to do it doesn’t mean you should. Yeah as the electrical contractor you may save a little money but do the right thing and install it on a dedicated circuit

@@TheVirtualElectrician modern fridges only draw 3-5 amps max, that’s why theyre not required to be on a dedicated circuit.

@@R900DZ wrong. Most modern fridges need a circuit for the fridge and one for the freezer. I think we are wiring 2 different houses. I’m guessing the houses you are wiring are less than 400k?

@@TheVirtualElectrician I’m just saying the NEC doesn’t require a dedicated circuit for the fridge. If the manufacturer of the fridge requires it that’s one thing but the NEC doesn’t. If you go to Home Depot and check out your average fridge you’ll see the amp draw is minimal on the new ones.

@@TheVirtualElectrician The video suggests wiring your own kitchen to save money. Do you think anyone like that owns a house worth almost half a million dollars? I had my kitchen rewired recently by a licensed electrician. Fridge is one of the two appliance circuits, not it's own dedicated circuit.

I have wet bar countertop with island. Sink is located on countertop. As I understood, I need at least 2xGFCI protected circuits at the right and left of the sink. As per code I have to install at least one 20A outlet in the island. I plan to install two outlets. Do they have to have dedicated circuits or I can connect them to existing GFCI outlets on countertop?

They can be on the load side of your countertop outlets.

Did you mean dual 40 AMP circuit for an electric oven? Not 40 volt.

2 of the smartest people people in the world didn't finish high school, I wired 4 of my own houses and passed with no mistakes I get many good comments from the inspectors. I think you are the stupid one for suggesting otherwise
