Normally takes me a solid week to decorate just my tree. It's a work of art for sure ! Then I have to decorate the whole house , inside and out.. Enjoy having your daughter home for the holidays ❤

2 decades ago, I would yearly travel to Grove Park Inn just to see these. My mother & sister would come with me & we would be so amazed by the creativity, artistry & attention to detail. Memories of such a fun time in beautiful surroundings! My mom & sister have since passed away & I am too old to travel, so thank you for letting me see 2023's competition entries. Glad you did this so early because toward the end of Christmas season the food color dye starts to bleed & houses can collapse. Like sand carvings on a beach....temporary works of art.

The cat gut was definitely the roof. It's used for violin strings too, wound with steel. When they break, the steel unwinds and exposes exactly this.

That place makes me think of Fisher Price in East Aurora with the elves I can remember taking our kids for walk nightly, at the least weekly. We lived down the road from the old factory. I wish I could post pictures on here of our house. 😂 I can remember having Carole Cade parties on our front lawn. Jen and you should go! Look up East Aurora NY Carole Cade. My mother in law used to drive the sleigh or buckboard depending on the weather years ago. Makes me said our house is gone along with our daughter.😢
