Douglas Kennedy, has been a correspondent for FOX TV News for 18 years. Prior to that, he worked as a reporter for The Boston Herald, then a crime reporter for The New York Post. As a veteran TV news journalist, his live-coverage work has included, every presidential election since 1996, the Iraq War, the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center, as well as Hurricane Katrina, just to name a few. His hard-core journalism has also exposed, head-on, the psycho-pharmaceutical industry in more than 25 exposes spanning the last 13 years. USA Today-the most widely read newspaper in America-did a feature article naming high-profile journalists that advocate for a cause, which included Diane Sawyer, Bob Woodruff, Anne Curry, Oprah and Douglas Kennedy. He is the tenth child of Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Kennedy.

He hits the proverbial nail on the head. When you're depressed you don't care about anything - when you take the drugs, you don't care that you don't care. They disinhibit; you are more likely to do something you wouldn't normally do.

My relative died at an early age as he was diagnosed with bi-polar. He had irreversible twitches but held strong and relied and trusts his doctors. Sadly, he died at an early age because of side effects from the toxic effects in his body from the drugs given for this fraudulent so-called "disease." I personally hold the psychiatrists and their profession and the treatments responsible for my nephews death. He just needed a good medical doctor and/or a nutritionalist to help him. I know he'd be alive today if it wasn't for this fradulent psychiatric drugging.

This is the exact same thing that is now happening with so many veterans being placed on these dangerous drugs. Its not just adolescent or young people, it is across the board!

CCHR was instrumental in getting the legislation passed for the black box warning that antidepressants are dangerous for teenagers.

This is why I stopped consulting counselors and psychiatrists. All they do is prescribe antidepressants and they never helped me.

Its okay to be sad or depressed, because once you get through it you become a better person, but nowadays its difficult. I've seen a lot of depressed people say they get depressed for no reason. But there's always a reason. Everything has a reason. Its whether or not people let you find that reason that is the difficult thing. Some try to cloud it away, but it only let's it fester in your heart and makes it more severe, that is why people cause self harm. This is what I think. Someday I believe things will get better.

+Trumanime Your spot on mate--- every problem has a reason and an answer to sort the problem/reason out-- and its not in a pill--its in words like its always been. psychiatry doesn't have words(try and get any out of one) it has poisons.

Vaccines and toxins, cause depression also. After my rubella shot, age 14, I was depressed for a year, no reason for it. Only now, have I heard others say the same thing. Vaccines are killing us.

Counselors and psychiatrists don't get to the root of problems. And that's a problem. All they do is prescribe medication while pretending to offer help. That's been my experience anyway. That's why I haven't seen a counselor for years. Tried it when I was 22. Didn't like it.

I wonder how many generals who send young people to die and be killed in battle, are also on these drugs? As far as the military are concerned there should be rules and laws that such officers on these kind of medications, that pre empt a person to kill wholesale, should not be allowed in a position of command that could lead to others dying. And if so, if no general or decision maker was on these drugs, would we ever go to war in the first place, but rather find a diplomatic solution?

Rave on Douglas Kennedy.From the FDA to the pharmaceutical companies to the MDs pushing this stuff, they need to be held accountable. Fines AND prison sentences.

Request: If any of you readers are ever on blogs, and you see someone relaying this data, BACK HIM UP! He probably is a lone voice on that blog, and the Mods on that blog have the right to remove his testimony or even ban him from posting. This leaves the psychs free to propagandize anyone on that blog.

I'm on Lexapro and it's actually helping me with my depression. I'm on a low dose so the most that's happened is my appetite isn't as strong as it was.

My friend back where I used to live does cocaine everyone in a while. It made him loose his appetite as well.

+Jennifer Strong - That's great if it's working for you but as it's killing your brain, you won't notice major effects until 10 to 20 years later when it could easily kill you. My friend is currently in this state and he was advised by doctors to withdraw from the drug, which he did over a 2.5 year period, but he is now a different person, (sort of a vegetable, introverted, slow, unhealthy, and 90lbs lighter, -he weighed about 260 originally).

Helping temporarily with your depression, at what cost? Damages liver, kidneys, makes you fat, high cholesterol, high blood pressure. If you are young, might be able to tolerate it a few years...... Then it begins not to work, up the dose, switch meds. And the revolving door has begun. Go off too quickly, might be 12 months after, the crash happens. Good luck!

If the drug causes those side effects then go to court to get an order prohibiting use of these drugs psychiatrists

I don't know what to do. Every time I express any sort of emotion, it seems to be a problem. These drugs are ruining my soul. I don't want to die, but I've been getting heart pains that make life unbearable. I've been on anti psychotics for years now. I'm oppressed. Every time I would go off them the withdrawal would seem like an so called symptom.. I've lost months of my life in mental hospitals. All I ever wanted was to be a cartoon artist and have a reason that I'm alive. I think I'm broken now though. I hope I find a way out of these messes that have attacked me throughout the years.

Hi, you are not alone. I am also an artist and the drugs have ruined my life. Seventeen years being on them and multiple psychiatric hospitalizations. I went on disability because of them, but the doctors never said it was the drugs, they said it was ME! I am off all of them now except one which I am tapering off of. I do not know if I will ever be okay again.
