Career
Born in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture in 1950 to a sharpening master, Hitoto Mazu.
He started training as a sword sharpener under his father, Hitoto, at the age of 15.
In 1996, he formed Nihon Katana Shinseikai.
In 1998, he started the Japanese Sword Masumikai polishing workshop.
Opened the Museum of Katana in 2008.
