“If he’s wearing field gray, he’s had it. I had a round up the spout, which is against the geneva convention and I couldn’t give a monkey’s, and a bayonet fixed on me rifle, and you’re gonna get that or this, or something else, or the grenade handy as well.”

Just imagine it though. In another universe a young Ozzie Osbourne, the musician, takes the place of the Ozzie Osbourne infantryman during WW2. Rounds the corner. Sees a group of Germans. (Bark at the Moon laugh) Mows down Germans.

he's referring to his intention to kill anyone he sees in German uniform. Which could mean the wounded, surrendering enemies, etc. Commandos don't mess around. There's another video where this guy talks about the best way to cut the throat of an unsuspecting sentry. Total callousness is pretty much a job requirement. There's a part two of this video where he mentions enemies coming out with their hands up, and that he was sorry that there were White Russian and Polish conscripts among them.

Look at and listen to this old man kids. He lost a whole bunch of mates in one single attack had a friend die in is arms and do you see any tears in his eyes? No because that's how you do it, you deal with it. Now we have soldiers that kills the enemies from 500 yards maybe they loose a friend or two and then come home after a couple of months of service and can't handle life anymore. I get it PTSD is real but you can't just blame PTSD on anything. There were PTSD victims in WWII but those guys really had it tough.

BolinFoto ☆ They were the greatest generation to ever live. My father fought first in North Africa and then off to Italy. Uncle Arthur was a Marine who fought the Japanese on islands in the South Pacific. Horrible fighting on both fronts. They came home, raised families and never whined or bitched about all the shit they had been through. God bless them all.

I dont think any of us that were not there can say that, what do we know about PTSD, or battle stress etc? You also assume that all fighting is done at a distance nowadays, I dont think that is true either, I think we should just listen and learn from men like this
@nyepumphrey4486
@nyepumphrey4486 4 жыл бұрын
the difference is this man has had a lifetime to work through anything weighing on him, you have no idea what people have seen or whats actually happened to them and trying to boil it down to "killing enemies at 500 yards and maybe losing a friend or 2" is some of the dumbest shit I've heard in a good while.

@@nyepumphrey4486In WWII a lone proplane could in the worst weather imaginable on the darkest moonless night fly miles and miles behind enemy lines and take out a communication array in the middle of no ware. No computers, no satnav nothing. Today with drones and, SatNav and laser guidance and highly advanced intelligence reports they can't even take out a rebel training facility in the middle of a flat desert in broad daylight and clear weather. They drive around in their cars and occasionally they get blown up by an IED, Improvised Explosive Device IE a kettle with some dynamite inside, or end up in a firefight with a bunch of ill trained persons, yes persons not military, with rusty AK's made in the mid 70s and get's themselves wasted. Even though they are highly trained with space age weapons and armoured like tanks. The military need's to butch up and just get the job done. They need to firstly train their men to not give a shit and just get it done. And inform them that a soldier has only two things on their list, kill or be killed, that's it. Because we all know that the enemy is teaching that to their guys.
