hey there!
in this video, I've tried to show you, not only why russian is a confusing language for foreigners, but why english is also a confusing language for russians. I've provided some tips how pro-russian learners could build sentences and even more!

Когда я вижу стилистические ошибки (и вообще странности) в русском курсе Дуолинго, ко мне приходит неприятная мысль: "наверняка, в курсах других языков тоже есть ошибки и неточности!".. В общем, подрывает это доверие к Дуолинго.

Имеет место, потому как я смотрел видео ребят из Кореи, и они говорили, что там прилично ошибок в приложении. Язык - безусловно сложная штука, конечно, иногда сложно разобраться особенно, когда в приложении иногда нет пояснения или некоторые слова вовсе не переводятся. С другой стороны, это лучше, чем ничего 😅

Думаю, эта проблема прослеживается скорее среди более сложных языков с нетипичным для английского построением предложений (тот же корейский). Простые языки с фиксированным порядком слов как в английском вряд ли подаются с ошибками. Так что их можно спокойно учить.

I started to learn russian, ( eh, more trying to learn) about 6 months ago with duolingo in combination with a book course, its a beautiful language, but damn a hard one aswell. Either way, i slowly seem to make some progress and will keep at it. 😁 👋

That’s awesome! 🔥🔥 Step by step you will see the progress, just stay consistent and don’t be that much hard on yourself, cause Russian is extremely difficult 🥸🥸 good luck with learning the language 🍀🍀

@@Aeduo yeah, but its a steep path but i am still at it and hopefully get it one day. Listening goes better than speaking. I hope to get back to russia one day, i am sure that will help a lot with learning the language. You aswell good luck with the studies👍

4:42 Небольшой нюанс - артикль "а" не ставится перед регулярными приёмами пищи в английском: dinner, breakfast и т.п.

"A dinner": This phrase is typically used when referring to a specific, individual meal. For example, "I had a dinner at a nice restaurant last night." "Dinner": This is often used without an article when talking about the concept of the evening meal in a general sense. For example, "We usually have dinner at 7 PM."@@dannydelvis

I have been doing Russian on Duolingo for about six months. The strangest things to have come up so far: Мой олень больше не читает газеты. Наш крокодил сейчас в театре. Душа важна, но сейчас голова болит.

Дуолинго иногда подбешивает своим строгим подходом к порядку слов на русском. Сталкиваюсь с этим проходя курс английского там. Но привыкнуть к этому строгому порядку помогает. Для английского оно правда полезно) так что пользуюсь. В целом для себя нахожу его полезным. Особенно в долгосрочной перспективе и с учетом того, что теперь прохожу другие курсы там уже через английский. Но дуалинго едва ли может быть единственным источником языка.. Какое то время ок, но нужно что то еще более живое и используемое реальными людьми в реальной жизни.

Разумеется он не может, да и не должен, быть единственный средством для изучения. Это же только самая-самая база, чтобы просто с чего-то начать, когда вот ты совсем ничего не понимаешь, просто нулевого уровня. А потом уже фильмы, книги, общение с людьми, как иначе-то.

This was so nice. When you were explaining that you have a word in Russian for the day before yesterday and the next day, you expressed how I feel English looks crippled without having replaced the word nudiustertian(the day before yesterday) which is no longer in modern use. In my mother tongue Kikuyu in Kenya, we have those words i.e. 'iyo' and 'ira'. Now drama comes when you check Kiswahili. From today it has words for 6 days before and 6 days after. kesho [tomorrow], kesho kutwa [day after tomorrow], mtondo [three days away], mtondogoo [four days away], kitondo [five days away], kitondo jogoo [six days away] and a similar set for the past days. I might start learning Russian one day currently io studio italiano sul Duolingo.
