My first theme dedicated to Natlan, an upcoming region from Genshin Impact. I based it on the melody we heard in the travail trailer (which I really hope Mr. Dimeng Yuan turns into the actual main theme of Natlan!!)
As you can tell, I was very much inspired by latin american as well as afro-cuban music and I tried to incorporate elements commonly found in these tracks while also keeping it close to what I imagine Natlan's theme could sound like (of course, this is just my humble interpretation)

I'm Spanish/Chilean, love dragons, and I CANNOT WAIT FOR NATLAN. I do like Fontaine more, though, as it checks all the boxes (French, oceans, justice, 1900s architecture and clothing, classical music).

Everyone is thinking Natlan is based on Aztec and Maya, but since the day I heard from the travail theme music inspired by flamenco music, I definitely knew that Natlan is gonna be Spanish or colonial Spain in South America, and a few days ago some leaks dropped regarding the design of Pyro archon proved me I'm probably right. Additionally, from the very beginning I've seen the travail video, I have been thinking of a civil war or conflict between tribes, and Neuvillette gave us some hints about it. So I assume that the orihginal dwellers of Natlan are the vishaps and dragons who had various mutations among years, some of them had the look of complete human, some of them still resemble vishap/dragon body, and probably people with white hair like Iansan and Bennett inherit dragon ancestry. Also we can see people living in Natlan who are not dragon descendants came to Natlan many years ago and tried to colonise the land, they may be the ones with typical red hairs, so Muratans as we know.

The amount of people in this community who treat leaks as the final product astounds me. Natlan is still a while away (in game development terms) and a character designing process takes a lot of time. There are hundreds of concept designs created with countless layers of filtration until a final product is reached.

This may be why Vanessa may be the Falcon of the(I think East), because the Falcon resembles a Dragon, but she's a descendent and not a full one? Idk im not sure

Most of the names in Natlan are African, actually. There's not currently a single Spanish name, only Indigenous American and African ones. I think the music from Travail was definitely Spanish influenced, but more based on Argentinian tango. And it's not just stuff relevant to Latin America, there's names from Kenya and North Africa, and, as seen in leaks of the upcoming event, even references to Lakota mythology.

Listening to this makes me even more excited about Natlan, it’s basically the most mysterious nation as we basically met not a single NPC or character from there. Seeing how good Fontaine was, I’m so excited for this. Great cover! I really liked it, it sounds almost as if it’s official, I hope you get more recognition!

Another spectacular theme to vibe to!! I can't believe Natlan is so close already, I'm getting memories of when you'd make Fontaine themes before the release of it... This goes so hard! Hopefully hoyo keeps the travail leitmotif, would be such a waste if they didn't considering how good you made use of it (I would like to think Fontaine was the only exception due to how fatui-sounding it was)

AAAA Natlan's theme and Fontaine's theme from the travail trailer are literally some of my favorite tunes, and they got me so excited back when the video came out. Ever since, I've been eager to incorporate them into my works, and I'm happy that I was finally able to do so with Natlan's theme! :D I wonder why you never suggested this, but then again, with so many good tracks, it's easy to lose sight of what's there! Thank you! It's funny that you mention it, I've been considering the idea of a "Natlan Night Theme" at some point. It would basically feature the motif in a more intimate setting, with the guitar taking center stage. :)

@@sumes All the leaks are out and the motif is nowhere to be seen :(( The only song that we're still missing is the main theme (since it never plays ingame), so if the main theme doesn't have this motif, then it's probably retconned
