They do make high quality videos though, it is probably why they switched over to English, they started to get a western following. @@michaelanderson3096 It's called, the Avenger, the one you just saw in the video, it fires sidewinders for close range air targets. The Patriot launches huge missiles at longer ranges. Himars is a MLRS, not a anti-air, it's purely for sending rockets to ground targets. I guess it could be modified to shoot at air targets, but at that point, you changed the entire system other than the truck.

Every air defense gun, except for air targets, can also defend itself against armored vehicles - that's why they also train to shoot horizontally. German trainers even shoot horizontally with 155mm howitzers for self-defense - 155mm standard NATO ammunition weighs over 40kg, you shoot with maximum load - every tank will open up - there's no escape'

The US military relies on complete air dominance wherever they are deployed. The pee-shooter is for drones. All these other anti-aircraft guns would be obliterated before they fired a shot.

Cause bullets fall down, a 20mm wouldn't make it more than 6KM if aiming straight in the air. Also, bullets take time to travel and can't adjust trajectory, meaning that you'll basically never hit since target is is maneuvering and tons of factors like wind will affect bullet trajectory. That's why it's only used to take down drones these days, planes no longer do strafing runs these days.

Yet these systems are less expensive to fire, and would take out drone swarms better than missiles at least. They also have 'air burst' capabilities, meaning, it can approximate and burst, and this means it does not need direct hits. Ironically the Geperd (by Germany) was one of only of its type. These type of AA designs 'were' considered obsolete but yet the Geperd saw high usage against drones and using radar in Ukraine; and was one of the only systems that could still do it until 'more modern' ways are invented and deployed. This is because drones actually need to move into close range (while certain planes and helicopters may barely outrange AA, making it useless or a secondary layer of protection, which was mostly hte reasoning of discarding those systems; ironically, Germany was better by having such a system in place)
