Well the author really loves Laxus that he is proving Laxus being the strongest through other character's perspectives/approval and during his own moment...i missed this Lucy, throughout the series Lucy will become more mature.. it's so hard to see her behaving like this now😂

Just a heads up, at some point throughout the first series, the characters themselves wont have that magical circle anymore, but the other stuff that use magic like weapons or giant spells do use the circle.👍

I started watching fairytail when I was a kid and I loved the magic circle design, it made Fairytail unique and the design was so cool I loved how pretty and magical it looked and each character had their own circle related to their magic, was so disappointed when it was dropped in later episodes but I guess from a drawing point it makes things simpler + takes time from the episode in mid battle to show the circle everytime. I hated it though cause it really adds to the magic world and I used to want to paint or draw it it’s such an intricate design, no other anime I’ve seen does this sort of design for a magic circle and also acts like a glass door for a magic portal to draw the powers from. Esp in later seasons it felt like some of the magical parts were downgraded mostly in design to make it more battle focus, and only made appear to be like lights but it also took away what made it different from other animes magics. I really wanted to see more of the design elements when they powered up later on, esp Lucy’s. Also even when they did do magic circles for spells and such they didn’t do the OG designs they were a lot simpler than when Fairytail first had magic circles. I also didn’t like how the colour was lost in later seasons when their new power ups would have looked really amazing if it was brighter.

two things about natu's abilities, one that dragon isnt real its just for show in the animation and two its not his MOTHER igneel is his father and he dosent look like that hes way coller when you *eventually* meet him but im really loving these reactions :D

Skipping "filler arcs" are fine, but "one time comic strip" episodes like episode 9 are fine to watch. Looking forward to your great reactions on the upcoming Galuna Island Arc

Lucy at this point has 4 Golden Keys (Cancer, Aquarius, Taurus & Virgo). Golden keys are far superior to Silver keys that she bought during 1st episode.

@@Strawboys yup plus Golden keys are very rare since there are only 12 of them on whole FT verse. Golden keys represents the 12 zodiac signs.

31:10 You can "share" silver keys. Those are more common and each key can either summon the same spirit or there is multiple of the same spirits. And technically anyone who holds a key can make a contract with spirits, that will be in effect every time they have the key (Lucy could technically borrow or give one of her keys to different Celestial Wizard). Looking at Lucy's repertoire - you already met Plue. It's a good example where Nicola - the Lesser Dogs are actually present in multiple quantities in the Celestial Spirit World. So Lucy can summon him pretty often, because he is only locked to that one key, but others can still use their keys to summon different instances of the Dog. Lucy also has one other silver key spirit that you will see soon, that potentially (this is a theory) works other way around, where there is only one or few spirits like it - but with multiple silver keys, many people can summon it. Which causes Lucy to only be able to use that spirit three times a month. The difference between silver and golden keys is mostly rarity. Zodiacs (12/88 constellations based on real world constellations that cover whole sky) are supposedly meant to be stronger - but the biggest difference is that there is always only one spirit of that specific sign and only one key at the time for the whole world. We will, however see that some silver keys can be as powerful as golden keys, especially when summoned by a stronger wizard. Not every spirit is meant to fight and not every spirit has the same power. For example compare Tauros to Horologium. Sure - Tauros is extremely strong physically, but he won't defend Lucy against cold winds and other damger like Horologium can. Also neither is as cute as Plue. We will see different spirits both gold and silver that are more utility or more strength and combat based.

She definitely has at least 4 Silver Keys at this moment of the series. She already had 3 before she was buying Plue (as seen in chapter 1). We already have seen Horologium and Plue. Two more we will see in Galuna Island and in "Karen" arc. She gets fifth at some point as well - used in GMG arc.

For filler arcs, I think you should still watch them. I think their fillers are really good(except for the Daphne and the clock one. Those were my least favorite out of the filler arcs). The thing with filler arcs and one episode “arcs” is that they are still referenced to in later arcs so it’s nice to know what the characters are talking about. They are also pretty enjoyable

@@Sawa1698 E. Spirits Arc is canon though - with 100YQ actively referencing it. It a lot of animations redone and some scenes recut post original release (TV release was commonly a slide show). It's worth checking at the very least to have the context clues about the events, even if some fights drag a little in it. And the big issue is that some people skipping it - also skip all the light novel specials as they aren't commonly marked as "manga episodes", which personally is a major mistake (Moulin Rouge is a good example of a solid episode based on special chapters that brings a lot of nice backstory to secondary characters).
