About Loke. One thing Fairy Tail does a lot in a storyline is introduce a lot of things that makes a viewer wonder " What's going on? What's the story behind this character or other thing we just saw?" For about 98% of those questions, they Will Be Answered. Often, the answer will show up in the same arc it's introduced. Natsu and Lucy are officially not together in the main Fairy Tail manga or show but them getting together is heavily hinted at on both show and manga. Even Mashima (the creator of Fairy Tail) drew many arts depicting them as a couple. He even drew and named their child. In the sequel, Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest manga, which is still on going and getting an anime adaptation in July this year, all the couples are becoming slowly official, not just Natsu and Lucy but other ships too.

I just now realized Erza saying "you have power sleeping in you" to Natsu at 12:53 was foreshadowing the dragons themselves being sealed in the the dragon slayer's bodies as we find out much later on

You want Mirajane and Erza? Natsu and Loki? Gray and Juvia? Happy and Master? Internet has it all. 2:00 One Piece is even considered as part of the Shounen-Jump's Big 3 (top series of that magazine through early 2000s that brought immense masses of readers and fans). Also most of the hatred against shounens is for their simplicity, not always good quality of storytelling, character building or art/animation (when talking about anime). With common worthless tropes like friendship, overcoming weakness and overpowered "chosen" mary sue protagonists. They are targeted at young boys, usually written by some Japanese incels. It's usually like the lowest barrel of the content, because it's the biggest market in the manga/anime industry - so you commonly get a copy-paste low quality characters that want to become a king-hokage-pirate-pokemon-master. There are some really nice quality series and some that play with the tropes properly and don't treat themselves too serious. Big 3 was a good example of series that created trends instead of copying them. That unfortunately changed, with only One Piece and Bleach keeping up the quality to this day. 2:15 Shounen means "young boy". It's target audiences are like 10-15 years old boys usually. You have series that are targeted for younger children (Pokémon is good example of series that through years oscillated between 5-13 years old) and some that are for older (JoJo I think could be aged for like 13-17 years olds) and some for mature audiences (again Tokyo Ghoul in manga form is at least 15-17+, due to its horror and gore elements). Also fighting isn't a necessary genre for the shounens - it's super common, because it's easy to just write dudes fighting, but there are series that are more slice-of-life, thriller, mystery, romance or comedy oriented. Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump - both series from Akira Toriyama are notably well known gag mangas, with Dragon Ball slowly moving from exploration, into martial arts, into space odyssey, into fighting, into magic - when it comes to the genres, with comedy and fighting becoming it's main two defining genres. 2:50 Fairy Tail is a textbook early 2000s shounen. It's actually commonly put next to Big3 as the important shounen of that era (it probably would be Big4, if Fairy Tail didnt come out in a different magazine). It's colourful, it's quirky, it's not really that serious or dramatic, it has strong friendship based plot, overpowered "chosen" protagonists in Erza and Natsu and a growing "zero-to-hero" protagonist with Lucy. There is mild oversexualisation of the characters, which is super common for that time-period and no actual stakes until very late into the series, when the authors decide to mature the series a little bit for the maturing audiences. Also the power systems and fighting-fantasy elements are textbook examples of those top shounens from that era (and multiple clones that came afterwards). 22:45 Remember that each Dragon Slayer is different, their elements may give them different abilities. Like Gajeel making that chainsaw arm.
