Tutorial showing you my experiment in eco dyeing showing you the process on how to create stunning imprints organically from Wattle flowers stems and leaves. These botanical prints use homemade rust water and copper mordant to turn plain pieces of linen and cotton into beautiful works of art. Textile art at its simplest and most natural form.

Does the rust make it washable?
@artfiberstitch

Hi Beverley. The rust is a natural mineral and acts as a mordant allowing the fabric to accept the colour. That and the vinegar both help to make is set and washable.
