Wow I commend you for your bravery. My hair was long just like yours. I always blew it out and wore it straight. With recent research, I decided to try to natural journey. I chopped off 6inces myself. It’s shoulder length now and I absolutely hate it! I put so much value in my hair that I feel so lost without my length. I still have heat damage now but I don’t think I can go shorter. I hate the length now. I’m so tempted to get it blown out cause I’ve had it straight for so long. I see some curls coming in very slowly but then I see a lot of heat damage still. I hate the texture of my hair now and it feels so dry. I always get deep moisture conditioners and after two days, my hair feels like a Brillo pad. I pray I’m strong enough to complete this natural journey.
