I'm glad you encourage your boys to grow their hair out and express themselves. I was always ignorant and curious about my hair becuase my dad would always cut it keep it short. One day i told him that i was growing my hair out and the rest was history. Glad more black men are embracing their hair. I think hip hop culture is influencing that as well since a lot of black men like to imitate their favorite artist and styles.

My son is mixed and has been growing out his hair, I said something about twist and he was all for it. This video makes it look easy thank you. His hair is course but not brittle so we don't put any gel or moisturizer in it, any tips for his hair and doing this method

Thanks for watching Alisha... Yes you may be able to get away with using just a setting lotion or a gel that is really light in texture. Just make sure it doesn't flake. I would suggest that what ever you choose, do a test run by just adding it into his hair routine for about a week prior to the twist. This way you can see how it works on his hair. Good Luck!

I used organic root stimulator lock & twist gel... Not sure if it's available in the Netherlands
