Dear sisters, after removal of female parts due to cancer, I went WFPB vegan and included 1 glass soymilk and a little daily tofu. No more hot flashes! I eat lettuce at dinner because I heard it helps with sleep. I also eat 1 cup frozen cherries daily. Hope you can find the relief I did. 🤗

Thank goodness I found this podcast! Thanks to Chuck, the guests on the show and the whole team behind the camera, I've been whole food vegan since November, though I started lowering animal products since August of last year. My cholesterol when down from 202 to 134, my weight went down 13 kgs, my triglycerides went down 20 points and I'm generally feeling pretty good. Thank you guys for everything!

Thank you for this programme and the video. I have been suffering from menopause symptoms for years even though I have been WFPB the whole time. I am also using HRT but I agree that it brings its own set of problems. I am coming up to 12 weeks of eating two servings of soy beans daily and I have noticed some changes however I still have flashes and mood changes. I am trying to remain hopeful that I can return to normal at some point because this journey is beyond frustrating! Sending best wishes from the UK.

wow, good video. I don't generally advocate plant-based diets because of their health risks, but am seeing this as a positive for menopause

I agree that what you eat and your lifestyle can make a huge difference to symptoms of menopause. I have been eating low fat plant based for 11 months and it has made a difference. But I think that it’s a very misleading to say that this is only thing that will help with menopause symptoms and that HRT has its own problems. It has studies backing the safety and efficacy. It isn’t about the symptoms alone, it is about the lack of oestrogen. When you go through menopause your body produces very little Oestrogen and that is what causes the huge list of symptoms as well as the major health issues in women ,bone density, heart disease, Alzheimers. HRT is used in conjunction with a low fat plant based diet has worked for me but the diet alone did not work. Because eating huge amounts of soya beans will not replace these hormones. In the past women died early because they didn’t replace those hormones and now we are living longer and suffering when we don’t replace them. I think the program is a great starting place but it is so much more diet and lifestyle.

I’ve been eating my soybeans and stopped eating chocolate 😢 , and other higher fat foods, avoid foods with 3 gms or more of fat per serving, for several months now. Still have the hot flashes. At night I wake up about 30 to 60 seconds before the hot flash actually manifests and I start to get sweaty. I sleep nude so when I wake up and feel the hot flash coming on I sit up and grab my nearby mopping cloths and mop sweat until it passes and go back to sleep, hopefully. Two to four times a night. The intensity seems to be slightly reduced but that’s about it. I’m also trying black cohosh supplement and Swedish flower pollen supplement. The only good thing about the hot flashes is that I can use them to aid in my mindfulness practice, using the arising abiding and passing of the hot flash to observe impermanence and change

Hi...try apple cider vinegar....helped me...2 tbsp in 1 glass of water every morning for 2 weeks

PLEASE tell me your opinion about that I am almost 69 years old (nov 12) and have Never had one hot flash! I loved having a period and started at 5 days before I turned eleven and stopped no prob at 48 years old. Thank you.

I don’t remember where I read this, but hot flashes are not even common in women in some countries due to their diet! (Edit: I think they ate lots of yams)

I was given steriods for my pain in my back . The hotflashes were made worse as a side effect
