I am a 70 year old female with a very high calcium score and one stent. I have books written by both of you gentlemen but do have a hard time sticking to a total plant based diet. I reread Dean Ornish's original book on heart disease reversal. I may check into the Ornish program with Medicare as an option. I am on straight Medicare with a very good supplemental health insurance. Thank you both for this interesting video.

I follow a plant-based diet (two-years on it) based on the work of Dr. Ornish, Dr. Greger, and others, with great subjective results and excellent objective results based on a broad panel of biomarkers. I lost 30 pounds on a high-carb diet with 50% of calories coming from carbs (good carbs - vegetables, fruits, legumes, and whole grains). The work of Dr. Ornish should be public knowledge and should be taught in high schools.

These Doctors are blessings to humanity! Finally we have a source of truth while being bombarded by unrelenting misinformation by the unregulated capitalistic marketplace. Food perversion is rampant, this must stop!

I suffered from metabolic syndrome (obesity, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and high blood sugar). I went whole food plant based no sugar oil or salt and I lost 65 pounds, all my conditions greatly improved, my gums stopped bleeding, and erections and energy returned. I used to have an appetite that was never satisfied; whole foods cured it. I no longer use a sleep apnea machine. Finally, the food is cheap-Beans, lentils, rice, potatoes and seasonal apples. I also save money by not having to buy pills and visit the Doctor. I am thankful to all the vegans who suffered attacks to reveal the truth to me.

Hi Dr Bernard Following your WFPBD diet. But I have a question. Would you permit low fat milk kefir for probitic in the plant based diet? Thanks.

I'm a vegan physical therapist... started with gout at 49....I quickly made the connection with alcohol.... always happened in vacation, dehydration, and for me... sugar. It's the worst. Similar to the doctor, I thought I had an orthopedic problem at first, then the light bulb moment, feeling stupid, duh, gout. It's all about the inflammation folks! Great discussion!

I can’t believe he didn’t get into the nuisances! ONLY FERMENTED, ORGANIC and NON GMO soy is good for you and the rest is terrible. You want only soy products like the ones they eat in Japan.

I’m wondering if this is true for everyone? I have some glycation on my face. I eat a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern diet. My weight is good, my blood pressure is low, and my sugar nonfasting is 85.

Sugar is not the problem. Right Bernard? Sugar is absolutely the problem. It's not meat that people have been eating for thousands of years . Its the damn sugar and refined carbs. Lets do a test you drink a 16 Oz glass of apple or orange juice and eat a baguette with all the veggies and fruit and whole grains and beans you want twice a day. I'll eat 12 Oz Beef grass fed ribeye steak and broccoli and drink water twice a day. Let see who's metabolic profile is better after a year. Put up or shut up.

Don't forget pet food. I just talked to my vet about feeding my dog vegan food. She then researched it and found that dogs can in fact go vegan. Cats can't (so I go with free range, grass fed for them) but dogs' microbiome is almost identical to humans. I have been giving my dog a variety including veggies (she loves carrots and green beans). I will be ordering vegan wet food for my dog. I have some air dried food that has meat in it that she gets as a snack in the evening so she won't be going complete vegan for quite a while but I'll do my part, especially for her health.

I have Ulcerative Colitis. Before I went into remission by changing to a plant based diet, it was pointed out to me that, "you wouldn't put salt in a cut would you? Then don't eat it if you have open soars in your gut." I followed that advice, and I am 6 years in remission now.

God bless both of you!!! I had the same life as Dr. Subramanian. I had endometriosis all my life. I did go into Invitro at 40 after 18 months of inviting medications I got pregnant. Tow months later had cyst on both ovaries the size of grapefruits. Due to increase Estorogen. Two months after that I was off bed rest & walking 5 miles (comfortably). By 5 months daughter decided to come out, back to bed… any way she was born healthy! Now she is having a hard time trying to get pregnant. I’m helping her with diet change & exercise. ❤😊🌟🙏🥰🙌
