Hello, my friend!
In the last few years, while mixing, I've started side-chaining my vocal effects from my lead vocals.
This has allowed me to have a lush depth to my vocals without having my effects bury my vocals.
A very underrated technique in my opinion - so let me show you how it's done!

great video jacob. already familiar with this technique but this was a very clear and concise demonstration of it. the track had a great pocket to be able to hear the reverb and delay tails so it was a great choice for this demo. subbed and looking forward to future videos. have a nice weekend friend

you have to understand compressions to understand this video. If you don't have a clear understanding of how compressions work then you watching the wrong video.
