God, look at those boots so shiny. So many memories. I graduated from NACCS a little over 10 years ago and it was some of the best training I ever did. Loved NAS Pensacola. Semper Fi

I had petty officer L as well. Awesome example of what a Naval Aircrewman should be. I kinda miss NACCS.

I’m going in as AIRC. Ship out to bootcamp in 15 days. Any advice? Also, do you get any opportunities or offers like to be a Rescue swimmer if you join as an aircrewman? Or are you set as aircrewman all the way? Also, is there anyway to make sure you get a helicopter rating? Not a fixed wing or UAV?

I guess it’s a little late to tell you, but airr is a contract

Wheatley GLADOS you serve? do they do it outdoors?
@WheatleyGLaDOS9 жыл бұрын
Erick Espinosa I graduated there last year, and all the graduation ceremonies were outside. Maybe it's the weather?
@poloz79 жыл бұрын
Wheatley GLADOS I want to go there. Any tips? On physical or academic side? I don't want to be put on the needs of the Navy (got an airman pact)
@WheatleyGLaDOS9 жыл бұрын
There are five types of aircrew rates, AWF (mechanical), AWO (systems operator), AWR (SAR/rescue swimmer), AWS (helicopter), AWV (technician). A second class swim test and a PFA score of GOOD is required to pass AW candidate school.
@fetusman18 жыл бұрын
+Erick Espinosa just went through a few months ago. pt was not too hard just me able to pass a PFA with a score of GOOD. most people get dropped from the swimming portion. be able to swim well and be comfortable taking water up the nose without freaking out. maybe practice swimming with clothes, if you can, because a lot of people can tread just fine but then as soon as they put on a flight suit and boots they sink like a rock.

Do you need perfect color vision to be a part of an Aircrew?
Patrick Reilly Explain. Why is it a dumb question. Why would I need perfect color vision to work on an aircrew.

What does the air crew do? Do they get to fly jet planes?
@JahreemtheDream14 жыл бұрын
They are crewmembers on the aircraft. Enlisted personnel not naval officers. There are 2 contracts AIRR and AIRC basically one group becomes Aviation rescue swimmers (AIRR) and the rest become regular fliers.
