i remember camping and watching these guys running up and down the beaches at 5:00 in the morning while i was inside a motor home drinking hot chocolate, that was the first time i had seen someone in the military training, i look up to these guys and always will

I try to replicate what these guys do. If they start training at 5 I make sure I start training at 4. If they do 100 push ups I make sure I do 150

I would hate all that attention... especially if I had to go through any of that kind of "Good Job" or "Almost there" chatter from the people watching during Hell Week, haha.

@@Mordalo hell week is conducted on coronado island on the military section side of the beach, because of this there are parts you cannot see but there are evolutions that are held where the public can watch.

The beach just past those high-rise apartments is US Navy Property, closed to the public, so BUD/S trainees can be surf-tortured in peace.

@@awjones12345 Tough time to go through the pipeline right now. Very backed up. Multiple times more applicants/candidates than open slots at the moment, according to Zwieg. You know the routine. Don’t fucking quit. Don’t burnout prematurely. Long haul. All the best to you, man! Make it happen!

The problem with civilians is that they think at every stage someone is an actual seal. These are recruits trying out to be seals. Half of the people in this video probably dropped out of selection.

Yep. This is just a selection process and must go through 3 phases for 6 months. Maybe 21 0r 28 may graduate then off they go to SQT(Seals Qualification Training). They don't become Seals until they received their Trident

@@jamesmcdermott7642 Yeah it's not hard anymore. Navy has a huge demand to expand the SEAL teams, so they are giving BUD/s contracts to guys right out of high-school (as long as they pass pre-screening). In fact, I heard a SEAL say recently that the BUD/s pipeline is crazy now. Even guys who have signed contracts are having to wait in long lines to get in because there's just too many people wanting to go to BUD/s. All the media attention in the past couple decades has really increased interest.

This is an exercise where they get soaked in water (particularly salt water, since it's heavier otherwise they'd just have the BUDs stand under showers or something) and then run while being soaked to the bone. Running sucks a lot worse when you're wet.

Thank God there's no fights re: UK vs US. I'm a Brit and proud to be enlisting in the Royal Marines Reserve right now, hopefully regulars after I finish college (16-18 college, i.e. senior high in the US). However, full respect to USMC, SEALs, Rangers, SF, "Tier-1" units, USAF PJs, etc etc. Thank God we're all allies! I admit that the banter/jokes can run between units, i.e. UK RM do almost 3x the length of basic training than USMC, but the 12-year-old CoD fights need to stop!

Yea, Me, in preparation for Enlisting into the Military I've been doing Marine Corp Workouts at the recruiting office. I've done nearly every sport in High School and it pales in comparison to actual Military workouts (And that's just casual Pre-Boot Camp Workouts. I can't imagine the real one or even something as insane as BUDS).

I'm just curious, don't they train at their own military beach? I'm sure Naval Base Coronado has a beach too right? But it's still cool to train infromt of civilians.

They are building an area that will be restricted from the civilians. But this video is from a long time ago and I’m sure it’s part of the psychological mucking to make these guys do all this in front of civilians. It probably encourages even more guys to drop out because they get distracted or embarrassed.

Their schedules are classified. It's unclear how many times they have selection and training per year.

But I still believe their schedule, not the general schedule like we the public know as after BUDS orientation, proceed with underwater training to land warfare to airborne training to freefall and then proceed to SQT, but like the actual schedule of exactly when are they doing what training at where is classified.

Those are not SEALs, they are SEAL candidates. The only ones on that beach who are SEALs are the men in blue shirts. Nice video though.

They are actually BUD/S Class Mates, Not SEALs until the 6 months are over

lol and when they're done with their training im sure they end up getting all the girls, heard alot of women throw themselves at these guys, heard from friends, and people in the military that they have girls in every port getting at them.....sooooo it kinda cancels out that they see a girl in a bikini, im sure they can do better anyways

But yes, they have about a 90% divorce rate. A big chunk of it is cheating. By the seals. Get howard Wardins (so?) book on being a SEAL.
