If you have been watching these monkeys and konthea for years you wouldn't make this comment! The difference is tourists don't feed them. Also they are taught to forage. Do you see Ros, Kunthea or Kosol doing any of this? No... because they do it for financial gain. They don't give a crap about these monkeys.

Even though the ones here are former pets they are wild. Yes tourists feed all the monkeys around some of the temples. They are not fed in areas that aren't tourist areas. There are truly wild populations in Cambodia that do not rely on people for food. VMF is a sanctuary with small fenced in areas. Because they can't travel far to forage they are supplemented with fruits and vegies. Plus it keeps the foster moms coming up by the feeding cages so the orphans can get milk. They do forage quite a bit in their enclosures but it doesn't give them the variety they would normally have.
